A Gun Thread About Absolutely Nothing!

This is getting me ticks! Another shooting out? WTF is going on? I don't think the gun is the issue, why so many shooting out lately all of sudden? Friend of mine thinks its conspiracy. Did something happens that ticks them off that leads to shooting out? I think there is something that Media and government don't want us to know. My gut feeling telling me something is going on and government is hiding from us.

it's a big country. there's a shooting happening every day in any state.

you're forgetting for a moment that it's the media that's making it looks like a big deal. show it to anybody living in Philly or Oakland and they'll just shrug and say - eh nothing new... same as everyday.
 
Have you heard another shooting out at college? It is in Houston, Texas as of today, no one was killed (Thank God!). only 3 injuries.

Olympic Arms Takes a Hard Line Against State Gun Grabs
Olympic Arms is a staunch believer in and defender of the Constitution of the United States, and with special attention paid to the Bill of Rights that succinctly enumerates the security of our Divinely given Rights. One of those Rights is that to Keep and Bear Arms.

Legislation recently passed in the State of New York outlaws the AR15 and many other firearms, and will make it illegal for the good and free citizens of New York to own a large selection of legal and safe firearms and magazines. We feel as though the passage of this legislation exceeds the authority granted to the government of New York by its citizens, and violates the Constitution of the United States, ignoring such SCOTUS rulings as District of Columbia v. Heller – 554, U.S. 570 of 2008, McDonald v. Chicago – 561 U.S. 3025 of 2010, and specifically the case of United States v. Miller – 307 U.S. 174 of 1939.

Due the passing of this legislation, Olympic Arms would like to announce that the State of New York, any Law Enforcement Departments, Law Enforcement Officers, First Responders within the State of New York, or any New York State government entity or employee of such an entity – will no longer be served as customers.

In short, Olympic Arms will no longer be doing business with the State of New York or any governmental entity or employee of such governmental entity within the State of New York – henceforth and until such legislation is repealed, and an apology made to the good people of the State of New York and the American people.

If the leaders of the State of New York are willing to limit the right of the free and law abiding citizens of New York to arm themselves as they see fit under the Rights enumerate to all citizens of the United State through the Second Amendment, we feel as though the legislators and government entities within the State of New York should have to abide by the same restrictions.

This action has caused a division of the people into classes: Those the government deems valuable enough to protect with modern firearms, and those whose lives have been deemed as having less value, and whom the government has decided do not deserve the right to protect themselves with the same firearms. Olympic Arms will not support such behavior or policy against any citizen of this great nation.

Olympic Arms invites all firearms manufacturers, distributors and firearms dealers to join us in this action to refuse to do business with the State of New York. We must stand together, or we shall surely fall divided.

If they keep electing democrats in years to come, maybe few decades or more, then probably yes.

I'm not sure, but nobody has beaten "four-elected" democrat yet... and that president was FDR.
 
We already have stricter control, especially in Chicago, they got strictest law, and the highest homicide in the nation.

Stricter gun control will NOT solve problem, you have no idea how many guns and ammos are out there. The number is in stratosphere or beyond and there is no budget that can cover this magnitude.

In order to fix that problem, then fix the education. Education, and expanding mental health access is the key to success in reduction to murder rates. we will never see them disappear 100%, it will never happen.

During heyday of 1950s, there is no really ban, no control, no nothing even you legally can buy bombs if you want to. The idea of gun control and bomb ban started right after JFK assassination. As soon as the control takes place, and started war on drugs in early 70's by president Nixon, a lot of negative consequences had occurred afterwards, skyrocketing murder rate, skyrocketing crime spree, skyrocketing drug usage, and everything gets out of control. Wow! 40's and 50's were the truly days of carefree and freedom, which is now gone, thanks to panic and response to assassination of JFK. Because of that, it proves that when ban, it just intensifies the temptations of criminals and those who don't give damn about society.

Now you see, since NY had enacted even stricter laws, know what happened? One Firearm supplier now refused to supply NYS officals any of firearms and ammo because that supplier believes that government should not be above the law so therefore if they ban citizen, then ban cops as well.

The only two countries have true success with gun control, actually almost banned gun and that is China and Japan, which makes sense because they are population denser than us, even comparing to Chicago, and their longtime weapon of choice is sword and knives.

And one country in this American continent has zero tolerance with guns and that is Brazil I think. Even cops can't have gun, their violence, murder rate, burglary rate is far much worse than us, and now their government begging society to quit violence but refused to relax gun control. So, if you think strictest gun control is the answer, move to Brazil and see for yourself. Remember Brazil is part of America, while China and Japan is Asian so it is completely different.

And FDR is the one that killed gold reserve and changed to Silver certificates, it is his executive order in attempt to solve the great depression. He was damn lucky because there is no constitution that bars him from doing it. There is no constitution on how economy is run. There is constitution on guns so that is why Obama can not ban though his executive order.

The other day, I was watching Spike channel, "1,000 ways to die". Many of them I could believe but one of episode that I had hard time believing their claim. It is #343, happened on July 1, 2004 in Idaho Falls, Idaho. Two young men were fooling around in two children wading pools, drinking too much of course and smoke too much. One of his friend kept breaking cigarettes like falling in water, breaks it after a puff or two. His friend got tired of this and decided to take a cartridge, cut the end, emptied the pellets, filled it with 3 cigarettes into it. Pumped into his shotgun. He actually got his friend up and on chair and made him open his mouth. He shot him about 4 yards away, all three cigs penetrated into his head half way! Done dead.

I find it very very hard to believe this! OFC Im planning to test that to see for myself. No human being will be involved, don't worry about that and it will be likely a watermelon with face on it. Wondering anyone have done test to prove cigs CAN penetrate human's head?

My friend thinks that really was the WAD that killed him not cigs. For those who knows nothing about shotgun, WAD is a materials that holds and projectile the pellets. Its plastic, wine glass like shaped.

anything that travels over 1,300 feet/sec can pretty much kill anybody - the closer it is, the more lethal.
 
I was sighting in my slug gun with sabots. They are held in place with a heavy plastic wad. I wasn't thinking about the fact that it might not go where the sabot did and one took out the windsheild of my dads old bmw parked down range about 40 feet. Probably wouldt have killed anyone but it would ruin there day for sure. At 12 feet? Yea it could kill if it hit you right.
