You hit the nail right on the head. If the FCC is not listening to the needs of the Deaf then something is wrong. If his job just to say we have someone who is Deaf, or is it to get results?

If we got a Deaf man working high up in the FCC, why are they making these stupid decisions?

It should go to court, yes, but don't sit there and try to tell me that there is no way to get around it. Whether their reason will stand up in court or not depends on the court. They don't always rule the way we think they should.

You're denying that words are powerful? Wars have been fought over mere words. Communication is extremely important. Saying a child "failed" a hearing test is judging the child defective. A terrible way to start life being labeled as a failure from the get-go. The results of a hearing test...

Describing the results of a hearing test as "failed" seems borderline oppressive to me. If I went to get my hearing tested, "pass" or "fail" are useless words to determine what should be done.

That's interesting. I was born hearing and became HOH at age 11. The older analog HAs never sounded fake, but the newer digital aids I now have do. Also certain music sounds do not come through on the digital aid while they did on the older analog aids. I suppose not all digital aids are as...

I think DD has a right to her opinion, and a right to express it. i think she raises a few good points. Why, however, do certain posters work so desperately to try and intimidate and stop her from expressing her view? Does AD not welcome Deaf perspectives?

The Z ETF agreement says that if you return the equipment then there is no charge. I think Sorenson is the same, or used to be.
