One of Hubby's appointments canceled today so he was able to come home for lunch with me. On the way home, he stopped at the Buffalo Grill and picked up lunch for us. We had Buffalo burgers with pepper jack cheese, crispy onions, lettuce, tomato, and chipotle mayo sauce. Mmm... :P

Reba, are there buffalo ranches for the purpose of marketing the meat within your state? If not, I wonder if you guys have inquired as too where they get this meat? If not and you go to this place occasionally, why not ask. I'd be curious.....

OK, I'll try to find out. :)

I haven't seen any herds of buffalo grazing in the Lowcountry. I know they do raise emu here though. I haven't tried that yet.

Ooooh! now thats more like it, we love Buffalo meat! we bought
some back in Oklahoma..it was delish! Those burgers you had sounds
sooo good....*drools*..i miss those...I will have to get online to look
and see if we can find some Buffalo meat around here, hehe.

Canned meats aren't wonderful, that's true. But we keep some in our pantry for emergencies, especially during hurricane season.

Yeah, u are right, good for emergencies. I rather eat canned
Tuna, jerkies, pork & beans, etc. my hubby will eat the Spam
cuz he likes em. I just cant eat Spam, vienna sausage, ugh.

Cool! Hubby just made a batch of beef jerky last night. We don't have any venison right now, so he used lean ground beef and spices. He's going on a driving trip next week to MI, so he wanted to have some "munchies" to take with him, and to share with his family.

He uses the ground meat, puts it into a gadget that looks like a cake decorating gun. It makes neat shapes for the jerky, and when it's done it looks exactly like strips of jerky. The difference is, I can eat it without breaking a tooth. It's more flexible. Also, he mixes in the spices very thoroughly with the ground meat. When he uses strip meat he marinates the meat overnight before dehydrating.

Oh cool, thats a neat gadget to make jerky that way..good idea!
Yeah, we have a neat recipe for marinating the venision or beef before
dehydrating them...it is really good. We use mostly medium and mild
never hot, ha. I dont like them too hot. Some people like em hot so
you can adjust by adding more chili powder to it, heh.

Reba,

Thanks for the link. It looks sooo good & healthy ! Will explore through it tonight. :D

Unfortunately, I can't have cow/pig meats for some reasons. I only can eat chicken, turkey, fish and wild game meats. :)

We went to Noisy Oyster for Fathers Day lunch today. My younger grandson ordered fried gator tail pieces for his appetizer. We all tried some but he ate most of it himself. Not bad! :P

Maybe a webmaster stole this picture and changed it to a different filename on his own website. Or, he has friends who are the hunters and took the picture and put it on his website for them as friends. He thinks that it is a cool. I hate him. I hope that the deer bite his balls real hard at the last minute so that he will not have a baby hunter. It would be nice if the deers raped them really hard in the woods that make their ass painful sore.

Ask Reba... http://www.alldeaf.com/790809-post45.html

Hello, i noticed all the hits on our website from this one. Im in the band PILLA. That picture IS NOT some illegal hunters that got raped by deer hunters or something. Its a pic of our lead singer and his family after a sucessful LEGAL hunt. All deer were eaten, and nothing was wasted. Just wanted to make sure that some weird rumours dont get started, thank you -PILLA Pillaband official website

However, suppose it is one of your favorite animals that always come to you as a greeting. Or, one of them is your daughter. Now, you understand what I mean. We are part of mammal. Are you aware that deers never kill humans? They eat plants and grass. Am I correct?

Which is more important for you to enjoy music or killing animals? That's what you have to think about. I hope that you will realize that. I'm not here to threaten you. You just need to wake up as being growing up. That's all. Thank you.

Actually the texture and taste was more like fried oysters.

Heh, heh, that's the name of the restaurant, and it has a coastal decor, but they serve other kinds of food, too.

:::Welcome to the Noisy Oyster::: Charleston, SC

The only time I eat oysters is if they're included with a seafood platter combination. Even then, they need to be coated, fried, and dipped in tartar sauce before I can eat them. I prefer clams, mussels, shrimp, lobster, and scallops.

Yesterday, I had the seafood au gratin casserole. It was very good.

Hubby and SIL had seafood platter combos.

Daughter had steak filet migon and loaded bake potato.

Grandsons had burgers.

All the seafood and fish is caught locally.

A few months ago we had a Silent Dinner out on the porch room of the restaurant. We had a huge turn out. It was great.
