Im deadly serious! and they are delicious, really!
My hubby and i just love em!

Heh, heh, that's the name of the restaurant, and it has a coastal decor, but they serve other kinds of food, too.

:::Welcome to the Noisy Oyster::: Charleston, SC

The only time I eat oysters is if they're included with a seafood platter combination. Even then, they need to be coated, fried, and dipped in tartar sauce before I can eat them. I prefer clams, mussels, shrimp, lobster, and scallops.

Yesterday, I had the seafood au gratin casserole. It was very good.

Hubby and SIL had seafood platter combos.

Daughter had steak filet migon and loaded bake potato.

Grandsons had burgers.

All the seafood and fish is caught locally.

A few months ago we had a Silent Dinner out on the porch room of the restaurant. We had a huge turn out. It was great.

Wow, good menu turnout and everybody had their good selections.
Thats what i like about certain restaurants, that you can just select
anything you want.
I like seafood combination platter too but i cant eat oysters and if i see
oysters in it, i would tell the waitress to just leave it, ha. i dont care if
it is coated with anything, i can still taste it..ugh.
If we go to Red Lobster, we always order lobster, we love lobster! ha.

Muslim Population

No wonder why former muslims are also against it, too. I am total furious with the court for give Muslim right to treat the animal with pain like this. I really don't understand the court because honor killing accord muslim's belief are not acceptance accord German law but they allow muslim to kill animals like this... *shake my head disgusitly*.

I just want to say my opinion about the HALA Slaughtering
you see,I live in syria becuase of my work as a translator so i know alot about it
I've read a lot of articles about how good is that way and how is it the best way ever and how it's the painless to the animal and that it makes the meat healthy because most of the blood goes out so no bacteria can live and check this : Why Islamic method of Slaughtering animals is better? A scientific reason
and if you don't trust the source you search about it through the internet and you'll be shocked about the results
and i wanna say that i really like meat so when i was in the USA that caused me a lot of problems but in syria i really found a lot of differents and i still eat a lot of meat and i'm great now and that's from my own experience and i really mean it,it's amazing how better i got.

mmmhhh interesting link...

Yes, you are correct that's what I said in other thread that animal should die with no pain because of good and health meat. Yes, I know that the meat's taste is no good, when animal die with fear and pain... that's how I learn from my friend who work for slaughterhouse. I will ask my friend about your link again. All what I know from my friend is: Pick animals from farm house up to slaughterhouse and keep them for a while instead of prepare with them straight way because the animals should not be fear and pain.... case the meat taste is bad, that's why they keep animal in slaughterhouse for a while or weeks until they are relax with no fear and pain feeling.... then they prepare to stun them to "dead" (deep sleep) and get blood out and check either there're no germ or not... before butcher them...........

I learn from my friends and American co-workers that American meats taste are different... I will find out myself when I am in USA for vacation on 30th June... Here in Germany, hormones and chemical in meats are banned... that's why we have organic meats everywhere here...

Aw, thanks ! Heh heh

hehe!

My mom told me back then, when she was young, she had rocky mountain oyster (bull's nuts), she said it was very delicious. I never had that and even I didn't know you eat those. LOL

I don't know how can people eat the oyster... I went to the oyster farm near the ocean, it was very horrible. There is pill of shells everywhere and it really stinks. I felt so sorry for the numbers of oyster died from that. Or maybe it's just that I am a vegetarian.

:gpost: I suppose people just shut their eyes to the amount of cruelty that goes into their meals. I used to eat meat then I visited an agricultural college. Witnessed how the pigs were being treated and went Pescotarian. I thought eating sea fish was ok as they were free range before getting caught but there are issues with fish too it seems, so now I'm vegan.

My sister bought some tuna fish cans, and they are not real fish. She ordered them on the telephone. The company stopped selling the cans at Whole Food store. I do not know what happened. I missed that food. The food tastes a real tuna.

I think that many people did not know about this product, and the ad signs were poor. Now, we lost the company telephone number and the address after we moved in a new home.

Slaughtering animal is the most horrible thing in the world. I believe that human is NOT part of carnivore. We are herbivore. Here are three pictures. You will be surprised about that. It's because our human is not designed to eat meats. In the past century, some food manufacturers bought up the idea of selling meats for money.

What an interesting topic.

I grew up a farm girl. I knew what animals are raised for but I have to say it was really difficult to give up an animal I had raised for 4-H or FFA because you get attached. But you get past that.

Good hunters do not make animals suffer for long periods of time before they die.

I'd like to mention - because I did not see anyone mention it yet - the necessity of thinning out herds through hunting.
It really is necessary to thin out deer and other wild animals. If the population is not thinned out then disease starts running rampant as the animals fight for dwindling supply of food.
We have seen that here in Ohio. Now that is sad to watch an emaciated animal slowly die.

I personally do not like deer meat but will prepare it for others.

I understand that if something happen that there is a food shortage in the winter. I would rather to shoot ghost animals. :giggle:

There are some special foods that prevent deers from having pregnancy once a year, and the project is very successful. In some places, they have to plant the food in the woods to control the deer population. Yes, a disease is a very serious issue to prevent this happen in the future especially very difficult to eliminate the ticks.

They had a project to plant chemicals on cotton balls for the mouses in the woods to make them work to eliminate the ticks, but it succeeded about 40 percent which is not enough. (I cannot remember the exact percent. My college classmates talked about it in my biology class on the island. That was a couple of years ago. We studied in hermit crabs and their behaviors. I had seen thousands of hermit crabs walking on the sand at night for my project.)

I went to the 4-H camp in Connecticut when I was a little kid. The 4-H camp went out of business a long time ago.
