Who is God?

The physical appearance of Jesus and God has nothing to do with accepting that Jesus and God are One. I don't know what they look like, and I don't care. That's not important.

Yes, Jesus did take on the form (body) of man so that He could become our sacrifice and shed His blood for us.

The Holy Bible led me to Jesus Christ my Savior and Lord. The Holy Spirit convicted my heart and opened up my understanding of those Scriptures. God's grace saved me.

Then if he is God, then why did he feel pain, and shed blood? Gods are supposed to be immortal, unable of feeling pain, thus your view of Jesus is completely flawed since he did feel pain when he was being crucified, and there are stories of him shedding REAL human blood. The same red blood you would find me or you or Yiffzer bleed if we had a simple paper cut on one of our finger.

It is your misguided beliefs that "saved" you, not Jesus. He's been dead for 2,000 years, so how can he be around instructing you what to do?

He is not a god.
You're right. He is THE God. :)

You are reading an interpretation of the bible which I might add is flawed.
Are you looking over my shoulder? How do you know what I'm reading?

My point is that in the South, there are Evangelists who interprets the Bible completely wrong.
That's possible. There are also Evangelists in the South who interpret the Bible completely right. There are Evangelists in the North and West that interpret the Bible right or wrong. There are Evangelists all over the world, some interpret the Bible right, some wrong. So?

Geographic location has nothing to do with Bible interpretation.

When Jesus was alive, who did Jesus pray to?
Wow, this is about the tenth time I've been asked this question at AD. In fact, several of these posts are getting repetitive. Maybe I should just start linking you to my previous responses.

Short answer (which you already know) is Jesus prayed to God the Father.

God. He even taught Children to only worship God and God.

I bet Reba will say otherwise.
How can I say otherwise? I don't even know what you're saying.

No, he is not God. Try telling that to the Baptists, Methodists, Presbyterians and see what they will tell you.

Oh really? Wasn't it Pat Patterson who "foretold" so many inaccurate predictions and he was an Evangelist, if you recall. He claims he receives his messages from God. Does it make him a prophet? No it doesn't. How do you know if Jesus is commanding you to do things?

You are reading the equivalent of a Micheal Bay movie. A bible with tons of action scenes and explosions. That is not a realistic depiction of Jesus Christ.

Yes, I know this. But who did Jesus's followers pray to?

Please Deafinoregon, take it easy.

(I wish I could pm you.)

Well, I'm an independent Baptist, and I'm telling you that Jesus Christ is God.

I can't speak for the others.

I assume you mean Pat Robertson. When have I ever said that I follow Pat Roberston? NEVER! I don't believe in or follow anyone who claims to be a modern prophet.

I never heard of Michael Bay or any of his movies. I have no idea what you're talking about.

I may have to absent myself from this thread if you guys keep confusing me with other people. I really don't appreciate being lumped in with other people and groups with whom I have no association. I seem to be wasting a lot of time just trying to keep you guys straight instead of keeping on topic.

Then you are misguided because I can see that Jesus is a simple man who liked to spread love all around.
What am I misguided about? You posted, "He even taught Children to only worship God and God." What does that mean?

How can I answer your questions if they don't make sense?

You are not independent if you claim to belong to the Baptists.

Ok, bad analogy. How about Independence Day in place of Micheal Bay?

Farewell, then leave. We won't stop you from leaving if our beliefs and views bother you so much.

I meant to say, "And God only." Funny how one simple typo can make you feel confused.

I'll make it clear for you, Reba.

What goes on in the OT should follow along in the NT. Except some Bibles completely change the meaning of NT and disregards the OT.

I asked you simple questions. Who did Jesus pray to? The answer as we all know is God. Who did Jesus's followers and disciples pray to? The answer as we all know is God. Why then are Christians today praying to Jesus instead of God Himself? This is idolatory!

In the OT, God repeatedly made it clear that He is One. The NT suddenly changes its meaning to "Three in One"? I'm sorry but God does not need anyone else to fulfil his own work, and dare I say, not even Jesus himself.

Any argument you use that proclaims Jesus as God is illogical thus far.

It's not your beliefs and views. It's your confusing presentations of the those views. Independence Day? What do movies have to do with this topic?

It took me a while to realize that the RIT tag team thought it would be amusing to play games with an old lady. Fine, you had your early spring break fun. I have better things to do.

It's an analogy.

LOL. Spring Break ended in February. Just because you see a college logo, it does not mean all spring breaks are universal.

Yet, Reba claims just because we're from RIT, it means we're on vacation. See how her views are misguided on education and religion?

Sorry. In the South we actually have our spring breaks in the Spring.

So just because it's the South, does it mean we have to follow their system?

For that matter, do you have to follow Jesus as your god?

That was the very question my Jewish e-buddy here was asking you. Why do you choose to evade his question?
