chocloate/strawberry protein smoothie...mmmmm...

No!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I got coconut M&M's for my dessert and Party Dip to eat with baked potato chips.

Vegetarians confuse me.

I am living with one that will only touch meat analogues. Huh? No beans, lentils, chickpeas, peas and non-modified tofu?
That is strange! No beans? People think I'm strange because I wont eat tofu.
Boca burgers and Black Bean burgers, both look good and taste good.

I don't like a lot of the "fake meat" things. But Morningstar Farms are the best. I really only eat the Chik Patties and the bacon. :) I thought I would like the Black Bean burgers, but I didn't. I have made my own and I love those!

I'm having chicken with my multiculti mac n cheese and salad.

I didn't have some of the necessary ingredients for it but I found Salsa Con Queso in the fridge and some tomatoes, onions, salsa and I used planko crumbs with Italian seasoning. I shredded some cheese and made it up on the spot. I'm baking it now.

We'll see how this turns out. *lick*

Botti....Yeeesss....for smoothie - but also Yeesssss - for CHOCOLATE CAKE:lol:
or chocolate cake with strawberries....
or strawberries with chocolate on them...
ok, just chocolate.....DARK....

:D

deafskeptic, that is a good idea about the mac and cheese w/ salsa and onions, etc. This is one case where I would use a fairly processed dairy alternative like soy cheese, almond cheese, etc <although I wouldn't get the "sliced pasteurized processed" imitations>. I've made the soy mac and cheese before w/whole grain pasta but haven't tried those add-ins.
since it's early, don't know yet what I'm having for supper.
last night I had the tilapia with carrots and some hot cereal. It was a gluten-free cereal with amaranth, quinoa and so forth.

I am doing a chicken casserole tonight with black bean and white corn salsa.

I used real cheese. It came out a bit blander than I like but I'll have to make it again.

Yeah, it'd work well via a vegan way. I am not a vegan though. Kroger's is the closest thing that I have to a health food store in Lynchburg. There's a reason why it's considered backwoods. :P

I had a burger for dinner. Forgot to thaw out my chicken for my chicken pot pie :P

Last minute change of plans from burgers to Meat Lover's Pizza and hot wings! Junk Tuesday!

Thin crust supreme pizza. Tastes like cheese n crackers, served hot. Salad and 1/2 of a ripe haas avocado. The avocado was great. I left him half.... grin...

:wave:deafskeptic, have heard of Kroger's. We don't happen to have any here.
When I do my vegan salsa mac and cheese I may try adding some cilantro and/or "Mexican" spices to it :hmm: maybe some avocado...
tonight I want some pasta, I keep reading about all these pasta dishes in here...

anybody have any good plans for storage of avocados? I don't have any luck keeping them past a day.

I think take the seed out and cover in plastic wrap used to be one method.

But it may be better to just eat them right away.

Botts gave a great idea- take the seed out and cover them in plastic wrap.

I eat them right away! :laugh2:

I use avocado for a natural body rub.

You can store them in the freezer. Just take the seed out, sprinkle some citrus juice to prevent browning and individually wrap each avocado in plastic wrap (very tightly) and they do store well.

Tonight son is cooking while I am at ASL class. I will eat when I get home at 9. Pork chops, roasted potatoes and green beans.
