I recall reading about one extreme case where a high school principal had a bout with anmesia and he had been missing for 6 months until one day he woke up at a construction site and looked at his dirty tattered clothes and wondered to himself how he got there. Luckily one of the workers at the construction site recognized him and took him to the hospital where he was found be undernourished and dehydrated but in otherwise good condition. He has no recollection of what happened during that six month period other than he must have lived like a homeless man. Now he is back on the job but he has an assistance dog that stays with him 24/7 that if he has another case of it the dog is trained to press a button on this beacon/gps device that he wears to alert authorities that he's having another amnesia attack. I don't know if he's had another episode but this was a couple of years ago. I think this is the most extreme case of amnesia that doctors had come across.

Wow!! I had heard a few stories about people doing this. Don't know anyone that I know of having it. Glad the Principal is home and safe.

Well Alley Cat - Sammy managed to jump up onto the bed on his own now. Seems the cats think the bed is theirs and made the night miserable for me. I tried to move them, but got bitten. They stay out of hubby's way and take over my side. I left and went to the living room and Sammy followed and made sleeping bad there, so I cam back to the bed and then then Sammy came back in. Have to figure out how to make the bed more uncomfortable for them.

Not really possible.

It is their job to make YOU uncomfortable. My littlest one sleeps on my pillow and gives me about 1/8th of it. I have to kick her off every night and she is back in 5 minutes. Over and over. I think she revels in it.

I put about 20 mouse traps on the bed. He/she will never returned again.

I just learned that Tokyo residents and businesses are voluntarily turning out their lights and billboards to avoid a massive blackout. This tells me that the Japanese people are putting the needs of others before their own. This is something that I have a lot of respect for.

Yeah, even Japan people don't do any looting to the stores. They respect the owners and leave it alone. Nothing like Katrina.

I learned that I am less resilient than in my youth.

Bottesini: you are still in your "prime of youth". Not in a "morass of despair" just relaxing in your Rocking Chair drinking GREEN TEA. Hope your herd of hounds resting as well.Peaceful and contended after a super treat organic Rhino bones.

Cheers on St Patricks day.

My cat did all that but now sadly, he avoids my bed.

Same here.

It is wonderful. Wish the scumbags of America would learn from them.

I learned that when my DD gets frustrated, she bats better! She was getting frustrated that we were working on bare basics today when we practiced softball. Since she has moved up from t-ball to softball I started her off handling the softball by throwing and catching grounders and eventually got some 'poppers' worked in. Once we got that down pat we moved on to batting with the SKLZ Batting Trainer. This helped to not only improve her swing but also her control of the speed and power of the bat. Her stance has also improved. She was getting so frustrated but I had her do 10 good hits on the trainer. If they were sloppy or did not make contact, they did not count. After a while she was getting frustrated. The more frustrated she got the more powerful her swings became. She got a couple good licks in on the trainer. After that I started pitching the actual softball to her, she hit the ball twice right off. The slow but steady practice had paid off!! Now we will be using the trainer for batting drills and teaching her how to hit bad pitches. I know she's only 7, but I think the more practice and more fundementals we get in now, the better she will be. Tomorrow is our first practice with the team. I hope she's ready and I'll likely be out there helping to coach as this is the first year the head coach is coaching. I've never officially coached but I can help out wherever I'm needed.

I learned you shouldn't complain, if you are not willing to try... now reevaluating...

I learned that reading the news all about whatever's out there now is making me

I learned this morning from a phone call that the lead I used to work under at Tyson has been suspended and is under investigation for sexual relationships with management personnel as well as reports of blatantly disrespecting USDA inspectors, who are federal employees - a super-no-no. :nono: She was reportedly caught in very close physical contact with a supervisor with both of them partially undressed. The USDA-FSIS-VMO has made an official report to the company about the lead's behavior and attitude towards the USDA inspectors. The company must address the situation within 24 hours I am told.

HOWEVER I just received a text a couple of minutes ago that the lead has managed to keep her employment status at the plant but has been moved out of Evis to another department. The management personnel she was caught with has also been removed from Evis. I told a person who is still employed there that they should go to management, bring my name up and explain the situation in it's entirety to the person that is dealing with all of this and that this person should speak with me as I have valuable information regarding the lead's conduct that I witnessed during my time at the plant and that I was told she was laughing at my situation days after I was terminated. To me her offenses are far far far worse than mine and yet she gets to keep her job? Unfuckingbelievable. Yeah I wanna do some talking.
