What did you learn today?

I learned that my hubby and MIL really have no clue that I can no longer eat regular ice cream. They just bought 3 huge tubs of it and one in the flavor I really like. Looks like I need to go to Whole Foods and blow a wad of money for my coconut milk ice cream.

One of my gaming friends at FB ended up in the hospital because his father-in-law thought it was silly that he said he was allergic to soy.

So he secretly made a soy milk shake, and my friend ended up with anaphylactic shock.

He was actually good humored about it and said he bet his father-in-law believed him now.
 
yes.

he'd vomit for hours, if not a few days.

he's allergic to peanuts, too, but it's much much more serious. he had to be hospitalized last time. :/
 
I learned that I should avoid the deaf community at all costs since they're just a bunch of heartless gossips.

And I have no idea what I have done to deserve it... Kinda upset. I'm having a bad day. Too much going on at once.

Well - I think you are a pretty wonderful person. You are mostly upbeat and positive. You work hard and know how to have a lo0t of fun, and from what I have seen, you stay true to your values.

And no, She's not paying me for this by any means. She's been a true friend.

I learned that a trashy woman with two kids and an even trashier old boyfriend coming into the nail salon kind of ruins your pedicure. :(

"AHH! Dayum this nail polish is cuuuute! Yeah, I want da sparklies on it! Waz it cost here? Wha? The other salon is five dolla cheaper...aaiiight I do it...yeah...<phone rings> HEY WATUP GIRL! I gettin my toenails done, cause you KNOW it gonna be warm out...umm hmm...thirty five dolla...yeah I know...shit...girl it just feel so dayum good-"

all at full decibel. :(

Friend of mine from Tyson said my old boss and lead that were always giving me trouble were getting suspended and removed from Evis for gross misconduct. I've been loling all day, even though it does me no good. Just karma making her rounds.

There is a certain amount of satisfaction in seeing someone who has mistreated you get their comeuppance.

Yes, when I woke up by it, I thought this had better be good so I looked at it and I was like WTF?? I texted her back thinking I was still asleep. She answered and confirmed it. Now I feel 'safe' if I do decide to go back to Tyson, if they place me in Evis again - but it would just be much better if I went back as USDA.
 
Went to my father's house before going out for mom's birthday, I learned that my father told me he got $7800 check from Baltimore Gas and Electric. Since he use solar panels to feed the electricity back into the grid. He's happy!
