I... I never saw myself agreeing with Yoda... but... but I have to...
No Mark, it's because you don't know when to shut it... it's because you have to have the last word and also, you're a drama queen. You always have to have the last word and can't walk away from something. When you can't have the last word and start to get too butt hurt, you have the thread locked like a cry baby.
Yoda, I believe everyone in their lives have regrets. Hell, I'm 27 and I have regrets. I'm sure I will always reflect back on them. Even now at 27 I catch myself looking back now and again thinking "Damn, why did I do that!?! It was so STUPID!!!" I suspect the elderly are no different. However, I sincerely doubt all of them have regrets, however you did address that you believe that not
all of them do. Still a comment worded rather badly in general... I can definitely see why many people were peeved... I can't say I didn't jaw drop at it myself.
Sometimes if you encounter someone in a bad mood, you just have to place yourself in their shoes. Hell, if I had to wake up early with deteriorating health feeling like god knows what and having to work ( many of them have to because our retirement SUCKS these days lets face it ) ( Lets also face as we get older our bodies don't function as they used to! ) I'd probably not be sunshine and rainbow sprinkle time party fun mood either!
Usually monthly, I make it a point to visit an elderly home in the area to spend some time getting to know the people inside and talking to them. Usually, they enjoy the company and just want someone to talk to and are lonely.
