What did you learn today? Part II

I just learned that someone I know from MSSD may be member of AD!

i found out Ridor is also a member of AD. I don't recall him ever posting here though.

Damn I was afraid of that. I think there will be a great deal of fall out from this for the Republicans.

And just think, if the republicans got everything they wanted, the fall out would be that much worse!

I learned that jillio smokes - American Spirit to be exact. Never heard of this brand but from what I understand this is an all-natural tobacco cigarette with no additives and chemicals.

I may have to go to a specialty smoke shop and ask for these specifically just to try them. (I've been smoking since aged 16/17 at least - tried numerous times to quit, unsuccessful so far)

Incorrect. My town has many tobacco farms. He told me that it never tell the truth. All natural tobacco must be processed thru the cigarette factories and added the chemicals because of the FDA's law. Actually, I may believe that the a very small group of employees made their own cigars from the farm directly without permission so that there would be no chemicals. However, I had seen some farmers spread the DDT on them in the very early morning. All the shit chemicals on cigarettes are so "poison." I am sorry to tell you this. It is totally unfair to you and others. I pray you and others that able to quit it in the hard way.

now is the time i sit back and watch investors switch from the stock market and make a killing on treasury bills.

These who have money in 401k... I truly feel for you.
Like I said there are other ways to invest than that. 401k is not secure, the ways I invest are north of 99% risk free.

Never heard of this brand but I'll check it out at the Smoker's Express (if they have it)?....otherwise, my Marlboro's are just fine.....So, I'm admitting I'm a nicotine addict also, and have quit many times, once for 9 months, and somehow got right back on them.

Most employer retirement plans that we (hubby and I) have been involved with will only allow the money to go into a 401K, so we are stuck. When it gets to be enough, we roll it over to an IRA. Not sure what else to do.

I quit smoking at the same time when I quit drinking. Has been 19 years so far. Did it to get married.

Not true. This brand doesn't have any additives. It specifically says so. They could not make that claim if it were not true. The FDA would not permit it.

I switched from Marlboro's to these. They were really hard to find when I first started smoking them...I had to go to a tobacco shop to find them. Now, even Walgreen's stocks them!:giggle:

The nicotine thing is the reason I was able to cut back so far. Commercial brands have a chemical that causes the nicotine to leave your system more quickly. American Spirit doesn't. The nicotine stays in your system longer so you don't crave another cig as often.
