What did you learn today? Part II

I learned today, that instead of just 1 great-grandchild, there will be 2 !..As it's twins....Then I received a very disturbing phone call late evening, to find out that there were no heartbeats....

She goes back tomorrow for another sonogram at 8:15am to verify...she is 6 and one half weeks pregnant, and I'm hoping the heartbeats were too faint to hear and perhaps tomorrow they will be able to hear them...if not, then it's a sure sign the babies are dead. We just hope for the best.
 
I learned that our contractor has already notified the local fire department that I am deaf and will be in my own home soon. The contractor came by to let me know, then I had a man from the fire department come by as well. He asked all kinds of questions that both the contractor and I answered. He asked about the floor plans to the house and the prospective fire and smoke alarms. Contractor told him what he was getting and we showed him the preliminary floor plans that show where all the alarms are going as well as all this special stuff for me. Everyone was pleased and I am now registered with them for special circumstance evacuation and such for any weather related happenings.

Does this mean you get priority evacuation due to disability? I'm not sure how this works in FL. I don't think AR has anything like this, but I could be wrong. :hmm:

I believe it does. I haven't read all the papers yet, but I think so. Also, those seniors living at home with terminal illnesses are also on that list, so, my mother is on it as well and that was done by her doctor.

Oh! I have my fingers crossed for you. Chances are very, very good that the heartbeats were just too faint. But twins! That is so exciting.

I learned that my new furniture will be delivered tonight instead of tomorrow. Whoooo! :D
 
I learned that jillio smokes - American Spirit to be exact. Never heard of this brand but from what I understand this is an all-natural tobacco cigarette with no additives and chemicals.

I may have to go to a specialty smoke shop and ask for these specifically just to try them. (I've been smoking since aged 16/17 at least - tried numerous times to quit, unsuccessful so far)
 
my client told me change will sunday :P I am exciting go to see visit my grandma & grandpa sleep over I will bus :lol: 1 days BBQ I think so good fun!
