What did you learn today? Part II

Learned today dance class cancelled in one school- Danforth-luck- can go to another high school- Central Tech-still room for more students. Just different day. Starts on Tuesday for 9 weeks 6.30pm to 8.00pm

ChaChaCha exercise for Cochlear Implants
 
I learned today that a restaurant with attached motel has been sold. The restaurant was one of my affordable favorites, Perkins. The property was bought and the company is requesting for re-zoning for a Behavioral Treatment Center. People in the area are up in arms over it.
 
I wish be on more balance cut on computer :lol: lol instead book good idea good point my analzyed think feeling!

ummm, you exercise your CI? How does that work?

It's similar to audiology. I had a lot of listening lessons growing up with a CI. He probably does it to teach himself the beats and how to follow the music.

Exercising my Implant? Turn it on at dances which has loud music playing and try to hear people actually speaking. It actually helps me hear-somewhat. I have been doing this for almost 4 1/2 years. The audi-Sunnybrook just smiled when advised after 3 days activation. Just sounds at different levels helps one's brain.
I could hear the dance music very easy-right from the beginning:wave: The problem was people speaking at a much lower level at the same time. Speechreading comes in handy -sometimes!

My daughter got her acceptance letter for the Nursing program at our state university. Now to get the necessary financing.
 
Today, I learned that blue whale's heart is about six feet wide and is approximately the size of a small car and 2000lb! :shock:

Wow! I'd hate to find out what a heart attack looks like to a heart that big...
 
I learned that my oldest son (20) does love me, but likes to hang with his friends more....he called and said..."please leave me a plate of supper...I'll be home later."

:giggle:...yeah, he's old enuf'...but he doesn't live at home anymore (now with his girlfriend on the other side of town)...so I don't see him too much anymore, and when he does come home for the weekend, I spoil him rotten!..His girlfriend doesn't know how to cook...he usually cooks...uggg!
 
I learned my MIL does not like our new mailbox. Know why? It's WHITE. She thinks that is a mess waiting to happen. Well - joke will be on her. WE have approval from the Post Office, we are painting it to match our house. IT will be white to start, then when the contractor paints our house, he will paint the mailbox in our main color and outline with the trim color, leaving the flag red. Our colors are 2 shades of blue.

But . . . if it ment going to do something I bet Kristina would get the job of taking her and either waiting for her or going back after her!
