What are you doing right now? Part II

I will have to remember this b/c I have beige rug too, I had it put in when I was thinking of moving . Now I am stuck with a color I hate.

use a bit of bleach then.

use a bit of bleach then.

Think about what happens if you throw bleach in a load of wash with your blue jeans. Not pretty.

The same would happen if you actually tried to use bleach to lighten a beige rug.

yes I know. but at least it would lighten up the wine color. just don't pour 100% bleach on it. diluted bleach would probably be better.

On my way home with my boyfriend. Merry Christmas, y'all. :)

Just got back from Christmas dinner at my moms. I am totally exhausted but had a very nice time visiting with family. Hubby is taking the girls snowboarding tomorrow. I am staying home and doing nothing.

Just woke up after falling asleep on the couch. It was a very nice day today.

Watching Netflix.

Today went very well. Niece received a very nice gift today -- a snowboard.

Was waiting for the sun to show up. Looks like it's here, so guess I'll get up.

Aack! No! Do NOT use any bleach on carpet!

The ONLY EXCEPTION is carpet that is made of recycled plastic that is specifically labeled by the manufacturer to be safe for bleach use. Even then, it's not a good idea.

I wouldn't use bleach either. It permanently discolors carpet.

I don't know about for wine, but I use Resolve for everything else. Pet and food stains. I spray it on the stain and put a paper towel or two on it and as the Resolve dries, the stain gets absorbed into the paper towel.

I wouldn't use bleach either but what are you going to do about dried stain? like.... 2 weeks old stain.

Totally soak the dried stain with the Resolve. In fact, when cleaning up pet vomit, I will clean up the gunk but don't touch the liquid part. I let that dry up first before using the Resolve. Not sure this works for everyone but it does for me :)

hhmm!!!! I'll buy Resolve next time when I go to shopping. I've got a few old pet vomit stains that I'd like to get rid of.

Throw a rug over it, rearrange your furniture to hide it, or have a professional cut and patch the area.

I have a nice throw rug over the area where I tried using a mild bleach solution on a pet vomit stain on off white carpet.

It's how I learned never to use bleach on carpet! :P

Let me know how it turns out. And, there's several variations of the Resolve. One is geared for pet stains.
