Why are you using garbage bags when traveling by the bus ???
Garbage plastic bags were the only ones that fit my presents.

Make sure you don't rub the wine in the carpet. That will damage the carpet fibers and make the stain harder to remove. Blot with a paper towel or rag. You can use white vinegar to dilute it. Then rinse with cold water, and blot again. (Hot water will set the stain.)Chatting with my girls and relaxing. I'm totally exhausted but had a wonderful day. My goddaughter warms my heart. She is talking so much, so excited for Santa and she loves visiting with everyone in the room. Children and Christmas are a beautiful thing to watch.
My daughter knocked over a whole glass of red wine on my beige carpet. What a mess, trying everything we can and hopefully it will come out.

I will have to remember this b/c I have beige rug too, I had it put in when I was thinking of moving . Now I am stuck with a color I hate.

Salt can work but it's a bit harsher process. You must be sure to get all the salt residue out or else it will get crusty.I soaked up as much as I could. Then we poured lots of salt over the area, placed paper towels over that and put heavy weights on top of that. It's suppose to draw out all the red wine. What a mess though. I will let everyone know later if this worked.
The "don't rub" rule is true for anything that is spilled on carpet. Soak and blot only. If a chemical or product is used, test it first on carpet that won't show, like in a closet or on a scrap piece, to be sure that the color won't change.I will have to remember this b/c I have beige rug too, I had it put in when I was thinking of moving .
