Oh yes, I remember you told me about this but you know that I disagree to this because it would cause neighbor more problems if anything happened to them. It´s sad.

I only pay fence for right to front side, not left side... Neighbor pay left to front side... then their neighbor pay right side to front......

There´re different property law in every countries.

For example the wood panel fence cost $2,000, we neighbours pay half each, we pay $1,000 each as equal, that popular for all neighbours. :)

If this posh neighbour want to order expensive iron bar fence to make it look pretty, ok no problem. The price is $8,000. But I pay the normal price $1,000and this neighbour pay $7,000. That's good bonus for me to have this pretty fence. :)

I can't see how it will cause more problem?

Yes I know about your previous post over difference prices for fence between neighbors but I would like to give you an example why I find it´s sad.

You don´t want to have fence but plant bushes on left side but your neighbor want fence... ?

You don´t have enough money to share the cost for fence yet but your neighbor want it as soon as possible. ?

You have to make an appointment with your neighbor to discuss what you both want to have fence... you both have different taste to pick which fence. ? It´s stress...

If the happened comes, (example, one of your neighbor´s pets damage on fence)... who pays? Your neighbor would not pay extra, what you do... ?

Why I´m glad because we don´t want to have fence on left side but plant bushes on back to left side and only fence on between garage and front side to protect from our property. I can do what I want... when will I plant... when will I buy without stress with my neighbor to discuss.....

My neighbor have different taste fence on right side between my and their property so I plant Italian Cypress to hide neighbor´s odd fence taste.
 
Thanks for the idea Leib. But I certainley want to see the fence that are same all around to make it look nice in my yard when I am in my backyard. I hope I wont run into a problem in the future. :Ohno:

Dividing fence is still the legal responsibility of both neighbours and we respect our property don't we? If one party damages the fence like when a tree fell across our fence it is up to the party responsible for the damage to fix it by law and we really have very little problem with this.

I don't know where you get this idea of stress and problems. Everyone knows there resposibilties and have replaced three fences it has been a breeze each time, no stress no issue, a quick conversation over the fence three quotes and done, easy.

Yes, that´s why I use bushes instead of fence. I choose Bushes over fence. Use bushes or fence between neighbors for privacy.

Remember it´s parents supersivon to teach the children to respect every house properties... :) My both neighbors never complaints because we respect each other about our properties... We all have children but we teach them to respect every house properties. I don´t like my neighbor´s taste fence on right side between my and their properties... What I do? Nothing because it´s their wishes. All what I do is plant Cypresses 3 cm distance from neighbor´s fence accord property law. I plant bushes on left side without fence but I has no problem with neighbor because they like bushes as well because bushes is neutral to any fences.

I thought we talked about the fence between our neighbors. Now you talk about pool in property - Yes, it´s voluntarily to do fence around the pool. The man from insurance company come to inspect my neighbor´s property because they built swimming pool in their garden last year. They recommended them to build fence around the pool because their children are toddlers. It´s neighbor´s responsible if any happened to their children without fence around the pool.

It´s not necassary to build fence around pool because my both sons are big and know how to take care of themselves. I would do something if my children are small.

I have friends who came to visit us with their small children. I told them that it´s not our responsible if any happened to their children. My friends understood without complication. We sat and drank our coffee and watch our children plays at pool.

Anyway, like what I say that each countries have different laws.

Your new house is really pretty! Your search for the right house has finally ended and you are gonna be busy packing the boxes and getting ready for the big move by end of September! Can you imagine having your first Christmas at your house?? That would be wonderful!

Liebling, here in America when the buyer buys the house, the wallpapers aren't negotiable...its left in as is when the house is bought. I understand that in Germany it can be negotiated...if it won't be bought by the buyer, you have the right to rip them off since you spent the money on the wallpapers. It makes sense to me but still shocking to me since we don't do that here in America. I have learned a lot from you about Germany. Very interesting. I am mostly German by the way...by my mom's side. But I've lived in America since birth. My great grandparents moved to America from Germany. German language were my grandparents first language.

Yeah, I would leave wallpapers or carpet alone if they are cheap and worn out but I have to rip wallpapers or carpet off accord buyer´s or tenant´s wish before I move out. The wallpapers, we bought in England ... beautiful wallpapers. The married couple look around and like wallpapers very much and asked us to not rip wallpapers and carpet off before we move out. They agreed to buy kitchen units from us but reject to buy % extra for wallpapers and carpets. We don´t bother to argue with them to pay us wallpapers and carpet... My hubby said to them... "Okay, I am going to rip the wallpapers and carpet off soon". They said Oh noooo please and pay then... :) It was happened in 1989. Now? :dunno: I will find out more... I remembered at 5years ago, we were ordered to empty dead 90 years old Great Aunt´s furnture, etc at her apartment... Landlord brought married couple to look around... and said that they want to see all the room empty and clean - and want old wallpapers and carpets to be remove. It took us 3 months to empty things and rip off everything until they are empty... Married couple are happy and gave us bottle of wine and bunch flower to thank us... but they don´t have to because of tenant rights act. Nice of them...

Galaxy Angel, what about you? You & your family will move out to new house... What landlord want you do with your apartment? Have to clean and rip wallpaper off, carpet or just leave them alone ? *curious*

We are happy and willing rip the carpet and replace new hardfloor... That our dreams goal.... as same thing kitchen which it's outdated 1980'ish styles.. *pukes* but we can rip the kitchen everything goes to Modern styles cabinets..

My backyard fence - all identical as standard wood fence is very popular in most Australian backyard.

Plastic fence is unheard of in Australia and again it is unsuitable for tropicial weather here.
If neighbour want to be touchy about a cheap fence, it will cost too much to replace every year and it will cost more expensive in the long run!!

Not really - like I said earlier standard wood fence is very very popular choice, and if they don't like two different fence, they are allow to plant bush or creepers to hide it :)

My Neighbour just had a baby, and her husband left her, and our fence was tear and wear, it needs to be replaced because of my two alastian dogs, so I pay full for the fence knowing she always babysit my toddlers daughters nearly every week.

Its great value compare my old home...

Old house I am spend 15 K $$$ repair and remodel and less vacations!!!

Since one year We live in New home and lots of vacations!!! less spend repairs!! also felt good!!

Don't buying one new home between old houses
Don't buying new home next to hospital or Stores its may slow value!

No, intruder´s relatives can´t do anything to sue you because it´s intruder´s own risk for break in owner´s property. Example, intruder are being attack to death by dogs. It´s intruder´s own risk.

Alway make sure that it´s not your responsible if any happened to their children. It´s their supervison to watch their children. It´s my responsible to watch my friend´s children during their parent´s absence. It´s different because their parents are not around.

I have no problem with my friends for their respect... Example, we visit my friend´s farm. They already make sure with us that it´s not their responsible if anything happend to my children because I´m still around in their house... I respect them. We together went around and watch our children play... I know it could be accident sometimes but I don´t blame my friends for that. It´s my responsible to watch my children, not my friends. If my children hit my friend´s lamp by ball then I have to pay the cost because it´s my responsible.

It´s my responsible to keep pool safe if anyone who live in same household and if my children are toddler... Now my children are big now - not need...

Very true... remodel/repair on old house cost awful alot of money than new house. I withness my friend who bought old house... It cost them double... They work very hard and renew anything...

We built our house with brick in 1988 after bought land. All what we do is just wallpapers, paint, floor and wall titles, marble floor, ... that´s all. I let builder company to build our house including everything (water, sewage, etc....) and let kitchen company to build our kitchen, bath company as well....
 
I like flip the house.. revonation cost more values profit.. Actually Yes It's pain the ass and awful lot of work do fixing some of pieces requires improved better looks than outdated.

I do not mind being revonation and wanted to get more profit value cost of selling near the future.. :)

Otherwise, I've seen the A&E and TLC channel about "Flip the House", "Property Ladder" and other t.v. showing about related the house. Pretty interesting awful lot what I've learned it lot. One day I would try learn and do myself work on revonation... Worth for my new challenge hands work! :)

We re already bought brand new building home last year.. and love it!!! its so much better than my old house!~ :) We don't need pay any repair so just put extra money save in bank and hopefully buy 2nd vacation home!? or not? because we re spend lot of vacations lol ...

Yeah, true agrees more avoid fixing everything costly lot of money.

We aren't mind and have nice meduim old house and can revonate as condiser flip the house and also will value more cost to sell the house. To make higher profit.. :D

That's all I wanted it as my goal..

If you re not planning stay that old house for forever.. then don't buying anything expensive with renovate or above the value house price.. ok ;)
