Travis the monkey killed for going on a rampage while mental

interesting! :ty:

Another meaning for 'plaster' that Ive run across is to get beat up or drunk.

IE- "Im going to plaster your hind-end!"

and "I got plastered this weekend at Jacob's party."

Im glad the bill banning primates as pets was passed. This is a safety precaution for both man and beast.

Or send them back to the wild where they belong. I don't care for zoos. I don't think animals should be kept in cages.

One can't simply send a pet back to the wild as the pet is too tame. The pet might not be able to survive in the wilderness. It is best not to take an animal out of the wildlife in the first place. The trouble is pouchers kill animals for their skins, body parts to sell.

You know what's interesting?

Most animal attacks in the US happen by dogs. Yes dogs.

Did they put a ban on owning dogs as pets? no.

However...the ban on all primates is a little different.

Monkeys and apes are primates right? but they want to ban ALL primates for pets? monkeys are entirely different than apes. They dont really attack people that much but can be hard to control sometimes. Apes are much harder to control. They are bigger and stronger with strengths 5 times greater than humans. So The congress should be more specific on the law they were passing...monkeys are OKAY for pets as long as the monkey is properly trained and such. Apes...thats like getting a death wish.

You have to realize something.....Primates, monkeys or whatever
you want to call them, are W I L D animals, thats what the
difference, ok?? so therefore they should NOT, NOT EVER, be
PETS, PERIOD!! they are not domestic like dog or cat, ok??
So of course, these wild animals need to be banned as pets!
After what that horrible attack on that poor woman by that nasty
chimpanzee, which is an wild animal...get it????
So I dont see anything interesting about what you said...

No, but I think you are making a fool out of yourself.

If you have a problem with me, take it outside of AD. Not here. Thank you. ;)

Making a fool out of myself? No, i dont think i am, i was
just explaining to you that you are not understanding
the difference between wild and domestic animals..you seem
to think we could keep wild animals as pets, i dont agree as
they are very dangerous..you know what happened to that
unfortunate lady in Connecticutt by that deranged chimpanzee.
I know some dogs and cats can be dangerous but not like
wild animals.
I apologize and i realize i should have PM you..sorry.

understandable but I don't think we should strictly regulate on what you can have or cannot have. If they think they can handle it, then let them be. Just like anybody can buy ferrari - a powerful V12 car... if not handled properly - it can result in death. But hey... let them be, right?

NEW HAVEN, Conn. - Hospital officials in Ohio say a Connecticut woman mauled by a chimpanzee two weeks ago lost her hands, nose, lips and eyelids and may be blind and suffering brain damage.

The Cleveland Clinic tells The Associated Press that 55-year-old Charla Nash also lost the bone structure in her face when she was attacked on Feb. 16 in Stamford, Conn.

The clinic revealed the specific injuries today for the first time.

Nash remains sedated in the hospital, which performed the nation's first face transplant in December. Hospital officials say it's too early to know if she will be a candidate for a face transplant.

Yes, but i still say wild animals should stay where they
belong..in the wild, wild animal world, IMO.

That is so sad and devastating to hear, i just feel so sad for her
and i would not be surprised if her family sue the owner of the
terrible animal that attacked her.
