Travis the monkey killed for going on a rampage while mental

exactly. here's a video link (don't worry - it's nothing horrifying but the chimp's screaming is)

Tourist Films Chimp Attack

I remember going to the Little Rock Zoo as a child and we went to the Chimp House and I can recall the horrifying screams of the chimps. I wasnt sure if they were screams towards each other or at the tourists but they didnt sound like happy screams thats for sure!

Yep, I researched that there are only less than 75,000 Gorillas left in the wild. The population is going down because of the habitation and the slow birthrate, similar to human's birthrate...but Gorillas don't have their own medical technology to save their babies as many of them die at 1 year old and half of them die when they reach adulthood. It's really sad.

I'm watching St. James Davis live on TV now. He still looks awful. His injuries were even more than what's listed in the previous post. He can't walk, still bleeds, has trouble breathing and speaking. :(

You were talking about this one yes?

Nobody really knows how those chimps escaped from the cages so the investigators believed they must've figured out a way to get out of the cage, which is possible thou. They would usually figure out how to get out of cages when no one is around.

Not very surprising that Davis was attacked by a couple chimpanzees which were males as well.

I've said in my previous post that male chimpanzees are definetly more violent than female chimps.

what's the plasters? To me - it's something you use on the wall to seal the hole or crack.

Plasters are what the Brits refer to Band-Aids. You could say that it is used to seal the 'hole' in the skin.

Or send them back to the wild where they belong. I don't care for zoos. I don't think animals should be kept in cages.

Some of these animals are endangered. So to keep them breeding in a safe environment. Some are trying to keep the species alive. Some of these animals are also rescued from other places. So releasing them will be sending them to a death sentence. since they are so used to being kept in captivity.

I agree about Zoos. I feel only rescued animals should be in Zoo's.

But for one to go out in the wild, to capture an animal that is perfectly fine in the wild. Leave them be.

can't send'em back if their habitats are destroyed or limited. poaches/disease will kill them anyway

Went to Busch Gardens several times. Love the animal show they had. Mostly dogs and cats and a few others. All those animals were rescued from the SPCA (the pound)

These animals did an awesome show!

Better than seeing them be euthanized.

They truly seem to enjoy doing so, and are well cared for.

mostly wild animals never friendly with owners im tell you!
