Thank You!! I come to AD as a friend. This is the place I come to get away from the 'Pigs Suck' attitude.

I could always ignore steve but I'm waiting for hell to freeze over and him make a good point. I admit that I get suckered into the debate because I do feel the need to defend myself (only here at AD amongst friends). I also don't mind people asking police related questions. I could have easily concealed my identity as many people do, and it was my choice to disclose my profession.

I am glad that members here get to know me and make judgements based on their interaction with me, and not on how I make my living.
 
OK Taylor heres what ill do, Ill sign a peace treaty if youll do the same and lets forget and stop talking about anti cops here at all deaf? So,,,Why dont you start first by creating a peace treaty.

What treaty? How have I disrespected you? Feel free to talk about cops all you want as this is an open forum. Feel free to make it personal as you have, I could care less. I will however, excercise my right to respond to your claims. If you'd stop trashing me and my job, you wouldn't get a response out of me at all. So, what treaty?

For once, i agree with you. Take Micheal Jaskson for example... he raped multiple heathen children, and hes at court right now, but before he got away with it because hes an billionare. That fustrates me, Think about OJ Simpson... Eminem... etc. I hate how the American Police force treats the poor and the black people... They treat them like they are animals or inferiors, It makes me angry cuz its a known fact that all men and woman are created equal, No matter how much money you have or how much fame you have!!
 
And yet, I disagree. It's all about the fact that each police AND COURT SYSTEM is different and handles each crime differently.

If the police PROSECUTE YOU, it's still up to the DISTRICT ATTORNEY to take it the rest of the way. The police, for the most part, are great about processing every breach of the law. You still are dealing with the fact that there's the LAWYERS who have to take the ball the rest of the way.
 
You also have to take into account that Micheal Jackson has the money to pay the victims off so they don't tell their story. If you don't have a victim coming forward to show that a crime took place, its difficult if not impossible to prosecute....with the exception of an officer actually witnessing the crime.

Its the same reason that many priests when unprosecuted even though it was oftentimes well known what they were doing.

Also, I'd like to point out what was previously said. The police were oftentimes criticized because they were hounding these actors and Michael Jackson too much. Its not the cops, but the court system. It is one of the biggest complaints I see on the street. We lock them up for crap...and they are out 2 days later (if that). People get pissed off because they want to clean their streets up and get the dealers off the corner but it gets frustrating when we lock a dealer up on Tuesday and then on Thursday he's on the same street corner.

What About scott peterson? He had money he didnt get away with it. What about john gotti ? He had money he didnt get away with it. Its got alot to do with the jury system and the defense lawyer. Like O.J Simpsons lawyers wanted an all black jury. They know blacks treat each other like brothers and sisters they would never convict theyre own. Just like the italians they would never convict their own. Heres a suggestion why not get black officers to arrest black suspects that way they would never use a nightstick or ram their heads on the hood of a squad car on their own. They would arrest them properly.

Yup....Its happened to many people here Steve....Why don't you take something from Mrs P. who has actually apologized to those who she offended and looking at recent posts, is making an effort to work on friendships and being respectful. Never thought I'd say it, but try taking a hint from her.
