God created man yet it was not his intention for man to sin? That was just a boo-boo he made?

Of course he intended man to sin otherwise man would not know what is good from bad.

I am not even going to touch the subject of Satan - that's just ...
God makes no mistakes. He made Adam and Eve perfect humans, and gave them a perfect environment. He provided them with free will. God didn't want them to be mindless robots.

Yes, Satan tempted them and lied to them but they didn't have give in to his temptation.

What did lions eat at the time? I have a Christian friend who insists that lions did not kill and eat other animals, since it was "perfect" at the time. Why give lions such fangs, then?

Maybe you have drop your prejudices and paranoia--those can make you see things that don't exist.

Nope. I see things you don't see because I don't have blinders on.

An excuse?:giggle: "The devil made me do it."
Wow, you're a laugh and half per minute. You should try out for vaudeville with all that originality.

Actually, he did make two mistakes. He made Adam and Eve. If they were perfect, then how did they give in to their temptations?

How can a human being with free will be capable of being perfect?

It's an oxymoron.

Although Jerry Falwell is dead, I still see signs of the RR movement in Lynchburg, VA. When we had the elections in the last few years, RR came out in droves in Lynchburg.

Many of the nursing students that I see when I'm in the hospital are from Liberty University.

Ummm, many stories in the bible are not intended to be read as literal. Having said that, some religions do take everything in the bible literally.

Besides, you cannot argue logic with faith. They are two different things. One would think that logic would always apply, but after a number of conversations with my own parents I realize that logic goes out the window so I gave up discussing religion with them.

Exactly. Demonizing them dehumanizes them and makes it much easier to commit cold blooded murder. Mei Lai massacre, anyone?

No doubt Reba doesn't believe me, nor my friends. I know them pretty well, and I do not think they all are lying. I just wish you could see them as they tell their stories. You would know they speak the truth. :(

Anyway, I am getting out of this thread before I cause more hurt feelings.

Unfortunately, I have no doubt what so ever about what you are relating here.

And yet, they try to use faith as an argument against logic and science. Go figure.
