So you had to go to PA to sign up for a CCW in VA and FL?

it's just a class. You're required to take gun safety class as part of requirement in order to apply for non-resident CCW. This class also offers notary service and police officer to take your fingerprints.

requirement for non-resident CCW - fingerprints taken by LEO, gun safety certification, and background check (done by the state you're applying to). Former/Current LEO & military veterans are exempted from couple of procedures.

You now can have a CCW in FL and VA without even going to those states?

Something still isn't right......:hmm: I need to consult some books.

What the employers are looking for is to see if the potential employee is of good moral character.

Usually it's the law firms, state government, and feds that would do this.

I've done this before on people where I check the internet--especially facebook, myspace, etc.

Um, some state government takes away my avatar because somebody on AD is looking for a job? Am I missing something here?

My avatar was given to me as a gift for the expressed purpose of being used as an avatar, and the artist's name is written on the image.

I've never taken any illegal drugs, never committed murder or sex crimes, never stolen anything except when I was 4 I stole a chocolate bunny from Kmart, but my mom caught me and we paid it back and I was punished. I don't smoke, drink, or commit vandalism, never did, and I'm always as nice as I can be to everybody, because being mean to them for any reason is just as stupid as being mean to myself for the same reason.

because his avatar is the pic of him. One can surmise that Byrdie is him and they can view all of his posts. Some of his posts may cause some misunderstandings that will disqualify him.

There was a case on Judge Judy.

A plaintiff was suing the defendant [in university to be a school teacher] for defamation of character. The defendant was quoted with her picture saying vile comments about the plaintiff.

The plaintiff did a screenshot and printed it. The plaintiff showed the evidence to Judge Judy. Judge Judy wasn't pleased because the defendant being young and going to be a school teacher would have this mark against her.

Anybody that works for the government will go through a rigorous background check and this means their personal background check.

Simple to say, our fellow bird is being safe and cautious, and he should be.

He's quite wise in doing so.

I don't think he has avatar just like ours. but it's still good idea to be as plain as possible. Avatar is like a tattoo. it shows who you are. If you have a BSDM avatar like Faire_Joule's... that's not going to give you + point.
