true! :laugh2:

i also find things to be funny when i'm manic. let's see. i'm up way past my bedtime, i can't sleep, i have a tremendous amount of energy, i feel REALLY, REALLY good and am restless as h*ll.

yep, i'm manic. :laugh2:

Yay! I think everybody left! I'm gonna go put antibiotic drops in my ears and go to bed :)

Thanks for keeping me company :D

I forgot to mention something weird that happened tonight while we were eating. My dad was opening a bottle of something, and it was under too much pressure and sprayed all over my brother in law. We all started laughing, and I was laughing really hard. While I was laughing, I suddenly heard an incredibly loud POP in my right ear that felt like it shook my entire head, followed by a high-frequency sound that took about a second to increase out of audible range. The sound caused me to jump and drop my knife and put my hand over my ear. There was no pain, and I heard no more sounds after that, so I went back to eating and stuff.

Do you suppose something actually happened inside my head, or was it just my brain again trying to give me a heart attack?

I certainly will! Although I hope I can sleep because I need to get well. I feel like a leach living off my parents while I'm sick.

:)

i hope you feel better soon. how long have you been sick?

i've had my uri since the day after thanksgiving and the day before thanksgiving i had the flu.

i normally don't get sick often (once every year, if that), but i'm telling you...i'm definitely paying the price for being well for as long as i have. i don't know about you, but when i get sick, i get sick BIG TIME and it hits me HARD. :(

i'm wondering if there wasn't some pressure that built up in your right ear while you were laughing and that's what caused the pop and high frequency sound you heard.

I think I've been sick for a week or two, not sure. I don't normally get sick that often, but this year, it seems like I've been sick almost constantly.

About hearing the pop, that was confusing because I thought I had no hearing. :hmm:

Well, I do think I'm about to fall asleep, so I better go to bed :giggle:

I hope you're feeling better soon, and everybody else who is sick! There seems to be a lot of us!

what's causing the high frequency sound you heard is your brain. the fact that you're totally deaf and have no residual hearing has nothing to do with your ability to hear that sound. totally deaf people can also experience tinnitus since tinnitus has nothing to do with the physical ability to hear.

thanks for your well wishes. :) hopefully i only have 4 more days to go before this thing clears up...

hope you feel better soon! :)

i agree. believe it or not, i still like alot of the clothes from the 80s. it would be great if 80s fashion came back into style like it did in the 90s.

Good morning, all. I didn't visit the board at all yesterday. Hope I didn't miss anything.

I actually saw Aidan Mack at Panera near my home! I didn't say hi because I wasn't sure if it was her or not but damn... the daughter of her friend was cute! VERY cute! Her mother is deaf and her daughter is hearing. I just left a message on her FB and she confirmed that she was there. dang it

yeah? it'll be very interesting :] im surprised that you do like retro as i do. There are not many deafies like retros. Maybe i might be wrong- :dunno:

hi everyone,

just thought i'd give all of you an update as to how i'm feeling today. i woke up with alot of congestion this morning. another ad'er (who is qualified to tell me this) said that the robitussin i'm taking will cause my dry cough to become drier the more i take it, so now i'm faced with the choice of taking more robitussin and having a worsening cough or suffering through more coughing fits throughout the day. i know sleep is the best medicine for me, but i've tried to go to sleep several times and am way too wired to sleep. so far, this is day 2 without any sleep. i'm literally counting the days until this infection finally clears up. it seems like every time one symptom disappears, another takes its' place. *sigh* anyways, thanks for letting me vent, guys.
