yeah? it'll be very interesting :] im surprised that you do like retro as i do. There are not many deafies like retros. Maybe i might be wrong- :dunno:

that's true. all of the deafies i know are into today's fashion and wearing fancy clothes. that kind of thing just doesn't appeal to me. then again, i was raised not to be materialistic, so perhaps that explains why i like retro.

<hug> keep yourself well-hydrated!

Sorry about your health issues, Hear Again.:|

thanks, society's_child. i guess this is the payback i get for not being sick for over a year and a half. sometimes i wish i would get sick a little more often than i do. i know that sounds strange, but when i get sick it seems like i get *really* sick and the illness hits me hard. :( perhaps if i got sick more often, my illnesses wouldn't be so severe.

right now i'm drinking hot lemonade and honey thanks to the suggestion of bott for my upper respiratory infection. i'm so congested i can't smell anything, but the hot lemonade is helping to soothe my sore throat.

I understand what you mean. I don't get sick very often, myself. But when i do get sick, BOY DO I GET SICK! :doh:It's almost like my body is making up for all the other bugs and viruses that i missed the first time around.

fanny pack.. lol, it is surly old school style. hey, its retro!

I used to have those .. used to wear them too. I used to get teased a lot for it, but those were the days when I figured everybody was teasing me anyway, so it didn't matter what I did. After all, the fanny pack provided a convenient place to keep my things!

I too was raised to not be materialistic, but later found out that my mom is EXTREMELY materialistic!! Nevertheless, I tend to stick to the Northwestern style that was popular among the parents of my classmates, which was generally comprised of whatever clothes would cover you most comfortably, no-stripe socks and each interchangeable article in monotone, often with simple or no pictures on the shirts, and a nice pair of Reeboks or Nikes. 60,000 Californians moved up to my area and decided the local style was boring, so they brought their own and taught the local population how to "rock" instead of just be "cool" (but I thought it looked too fancy, so I wasn't sucked in).

Wow, I slept for over an hour in the sun! Usually the sun wakes me up even if it's overcast.

LOL I've always figured my body saves them all up so it can get sick with them all at once months after everybody else is well from most of them.

Have you tried Mucinex maximum strength? that's what my doc recommended when I had a flu

I am glad the lemonade and honey is helping Hear Again. It always helps me too when I am sick with respiratory problems.:)

That stuff is NO JOKE. I took it last time i was down with a cold. I had no idea that it caused drowsiness (i didn't see any kind of warning on the box) so i decided to take before i left for work one morning. I'm serious when i tell you i was out of commission until that afternoon. I was an absolute zombie.:shock::shock:

If you're going to take it, Hear Again, I suggest that you don't plan on doing anything for at least the next 5 hours.

i can't even remember if it did that to me. I was on 234234234 medications :|

no, i haven't tried that yet, but i'm wondering if mucinex causes drowsiness? i'd like to avoid that if at all possible.

given what you've described, i think i'm going to skip the mucinex because the last thing i want to deal with is drowsiness.

d*mn. i wish i knew what to do for this cough.
