I'll survive, thanks
you're welcome. i've had back pain before myself, so i know how painful it can be.
I'll survive, thanks
Believe it or not, what works for me is drinking Pepsi. It does sooth my throat for some reason.
so you're at work right now? can one of your co-workers run to the drugstore to get you some ibuprofin?
what i do with my meds is to always keep some at home, some in my purse (which i know you obviously can't do because you're male) and some at my desk (field placement) so that i don't have to worry about being without.
I have a bag that I carry around with be because of the lack of a male-equivalent to a purse and my need to carry with me a load of medication everywhere I go. It's very handy to be able to keep my checkbooks with me and everything I'll need at a moment's notice. It baffles me why men haven't come up with their own culturally acceptable version of a purse. The book bag I use isn't repulsively ugly, but neither is it particularly visually appealing. If I were female (or gay), I'd just buy a purse, and that would solve all of my problems. For now, the book bag serves its purpose.
Time to go to my dad's stupid party he decided we had to throw even though half of us are sick and would rather just be in bed. My mom is frying something, and that is not helping my cough at all.
I have a 'work bag' that I carry to work which is basically a backpack. It holds my work ID, my supplies I will need each day plus a couple extra, then I usually throw in an extra shirt in case I get cold, plus some Tylenol, some Imitrex, and some feminine items as well. I don't like carrying a purse so this suits me just well for the occasion. I also carry similar items in my backpack at Uni, as I have a separate bag for my books, I just put the more personal stuff in an inside pocket.
But I am considering to get a nice messenger bag given I get a good paying job after Christmas. No job, no extra spending......
I carry a small Camelbak bag too. I tried messenger bag and it was an epic fail. That's scoliosis right there!
mints,
i may have missed this, but do you have a cold? if so, feel better soon. in the meantime, if your cough is really bothering you (like mine was earlier in the day), get some robitussin. that will help soothe your throat and calm your cough. i have a dry, persistent cough and robitussin is doing a good job of preventing me from having constant coughing fits.
Yes, I have a cold or something. I had a stupid doctor last time I was at urgent care, so I didn't exactly catch everything he said. Yes, I have a dry throat, dry cough. Thanks for the suggestion If I have an opportunity, I'll pick some up! I live a long way from the city, so I don't take the drive often unless I have to. There is nothing near me except farms.
The party isn't over yet, but I found I had a minute. Gotta go!
Why do I need robitussin? My throats fine, but I may forward the package to SimplyMints when it arrives, she needs it more than I do currently. LOL
By the time I get it, I'll be well
I'm an hour past my bed time, and this party is still going on.
On second thought, maybe I won't be well. I need my sleep to get well.
get to sleep! (i should take my own advice, but i'm still too wired to fall asleep.)
Yeah Hear Again, that's what I got from Wal-Green, but I got the one that controls the cough, I also got NyQuil for during the night time, that would definitely knock me out.
LOL I'd love to if everybody would just leave! It looks like they're getting ready to go. (whew!) Just taking their time about it.
Do I seem any different talking without a brain? Probably not, huh? Being on medication and being tired probably has the same effect as far as outward appearance goes.
