whisperhorse,
you're welcome.
yeah, that's rough being sick while needing to take care of your children.
hopefully you can take a short nap sometime today which will help you feel a little better.
whisperhorse,
i *love* drinking hot cocoa in the winter!
in fact, i always have a tall mug of hot cocoa first thing in the morning (sometimes i even do this during the summer months).
it's a great way to start off my day!
WhisperHorse and Hear Again, I hope you are both better soon.
I feel much better today although I still have my cold, nothing hurts as much as yesterday.
Are you serious? Do all deaf people experience this or do you just have a particulary extreme case?
No snow here, but its rather chilly.
well everyone,
i've made up my mind as far as my left wrist is concerned. it's really starting to bother me again today (i woke up with my fingers feeling completely numb). i've also had a shock-like pain shooting up my elbow several times yesterday.
therefore, i've decided to have surgery. there are two kinds of surgery for carpal tunnel -- open release and endoscopic. i'm going to ask if i can have endoscopic since the recovery time is much faster and the incision made in the wrist isn't as large as it is for open release surgery.
however, i've also decided to attend physical therapy until my surgery date. i figure it can't hurt.
in the meantime, i'll continue to keep all of you posted as to how i'm doing.
Not having a heart attack are ya?
no, but that doesn't negate the fact that i'm in pain. if you only knew how painful cts really is, perhaps you wouldn't be asking me questions like that. if you were being sarcastic, sorry, but i fail to see the humor.
you know that tingling/shock feeling in the arm does also mean you're having either a stroke or heart attack.

i'm not having a stroke or heart attack. my doctor said it's a symptom of cts.
now you're worrying me. should i go to the er?
lol no no. i was just explaining why byrdie mentioned about heart attack cuz they're nearly same symptom as carpel tunnel syndrome. I thought you already went to see doctor about your problem?
the end of the week has arrived, and I am not looking forward to the weekend (Don't ask)
The reason why I was asking is because I had a heart attack at the age of 37 with the description of the pain you are describing--only mine was the left shoulder down the left arm causing numbness.
I'm not being sarcastic--I'm asking as a friend.
The family's coming to interrogate you.
For the first time in AD history, shut the fuck up. You're just so annoying, get it?
