Thanks, Bott! :)

How are you feeling tonight? Any better?

About a thousand times better.. Probably only due to cold medicine. I hope I am still better tomorrow.

Societys Child and Hear Again, they are scarred from repeated infections as a child.
I thought you meant go to the doctor as it would increase deafness.

Yes I feel pain. That is what I meant by stabbing.

And I am female!!! She. She. (please)

Oh, I'm sorry about that Bott. I know you're female and have no idea why I typed "his" instead of "hers."

Actually, an ear infection DOES have the ability to increase deafness if left untreated. That's one of the ways I lost my hearing.

That is what I meant. My doctor said I have the worst scarring of tympanic membrane he ever saw. I thought it cant get worse. So I don't think it can hurt me except for pain.

It's past my bedtime...I'm off to tango with the sandman.

I'll catch up with all you crazy AD'ers tommorow. :bye:

Ear infection can harm more than timpanic membrane. It can spread to the middle ear and infect the endolymphatic system (affects both hearing and balance). One of my previous doctors claims this happened to me. I'm not sure whether to believe it or not since I've had I think 8 doctors in 9 years, and every one of them had a different story to tell about what the cause of my hearing loss was.

I always have poor balance. My ASL teacher says deaf people have bad balance. She walks just like me.

I think this may have been destroyed or had problems earlier. If I end up at the doctor I will try to remember to ask.

My most recent doctor is blaming my hearing loss and balance issues on Meniere's disease, so I wasn't sure. I don't think there's a doctor on this planet who can figure me out. :giggle:

Well everyone, I'm heading for bed. Talk more tomorrow. Goodnight. :)

Boring... Just surfing around the alldeaf... maybe will not post so many posts... ^_^

Is that so? Interesting that you mention. Now that i think about it, a deaf friend of mine has this odd gait..it's not really noticible though. :hmm:

When I don't have my CIs on I have alot of trouble with my balance. I've never had this problem before, so I suspect it has to do with my CI surgeries and the complete loss of my residual hearing.

I have the same problem with balance.

People don't like it when I lose my balance.

One time my nephew yelled, "TIMBER!"

when i see somebody lost balance.. ill say, "ATOMIC BOMB!"

I often just begin to fall to one side when I'm walking or standing, and I put my hand against the wall. People think I'm sleepy when I do that.
