Are you considered anyone whoever work at minimum wage as poor? If you work at minimum wage so you have pay 4% because usually more than $500 per month, at least for full time.

Which you have to pay regardless of Federal tax system. Let's see.... 40x8=320,,,,,,x52 = 16,640,,,,,-3500=13,140x 45= $525.60. And that's if there are no other deductions. Not exactly brutal. State tax is $10 a week.

Good heavens. Entertainment is a necessity? No. It's not. It's a want, not a need. Food is a need. Shelter is a need. Water is a need. Medicine is a need. Clothing is a need. But entertainment? Nope.

That's your opinion. :)

I'm glad that won't happens, anyway.

Not an opinion but a fact. You won't die from not having entertainment. I don't think boredom killed anybody yet.

Entertainment is MUST for me, respect my personality, if you don't want it so don't use it.

Do you even know what needs and wants are? You're not going to die from lack of entertainment.

People can't survive without food and water. Their lifespan will be shorten if they don't have access to shelter, clothes and medicine.

Entertainment? Nope.

If you need a Wii, well... what about Joe, a friend of mine, in the mountains that has been doing fine with no technology-- only a backpack, knife and a few other survival items? He has been out there for awhile... he's not dying from boredom.

So it's not an "opinion." It's a "fact."

If it is a must then work for it. Entertainment is not an entitlement

Everyone has different personality, I couldn't live without entertainment.

Sometime, minimum wage isn't enough, even 2nd job is possible but harder if you have alot of expenses, even if you live in rural with no public transportation option so you will have pay alot of gas like I did last year.

Then there'll be a lot of dead people if we get an EMP burst because suddenly they die because their iPhone isn't working or that their Wii doesn't work. Or their tv, stereos, computer, internet connection.....

Yeah, people die from lack of their iPhones and such.

How did people survive before electronic entertainment was invented?

Suppose you couldn't have any electronic entertainment, what would you do?

You don't understand about people has different personality, look at me, I'm hardcore gaming so I love to buy more games after important expenses has paid off and I don't want more taxes that take my money away.

How is that someone else's problem?

Must be what caused the collapse of the Roman Empire--no Wii available.

Oh noes. Foxrac is going to die.

Seriously...

I thought the same until I decided to move to Victoria and left everything I owned behind. It was then I found out I don't need anything more than a laptop, a cellphone and some kitchenware. Before I moved, I had a massive video gaming collection, a decent TV, a desktop computer, a video camera, a decent SLR, a decent digital point-and-shoot, webcam, sound surround, guitar, drumkit, a sizeable collection of critters, a few consoles and handhelds-- you name it, I probably had it. It wasn't until I moved here, I realized I didn't need ALL of that stuff or ANY of it to begin with.

Hell, I wouldn't need a cellphone or laptop if I didn't have to use them to be part of the Deaf culture.

Am I still a techie addict? Yep. But I get more kicks out of adventure/outdoors activities now that don't require... pretty much anything.

Who cares about long time ago, I'm talking about now.

For 2nd question, I wish that I could answer but decide not to do.
