you know.... he should have said that instead of "neuromusculoskeletal specialist"

Trying to mislead, obviously.

You didn't ask if I felt responsible for people's sexual health?
"I will ask again, as a physician, do you feel any responsibility for insuring that the rest of the population receives accurate information regarding the health consequences of unprotected sex?"

I do have the knowledge base, but it would be completely unprofessional for me to discuss sexual topics with my patients. Would you want your dentist to discuss sexual health with your kids?

And I'm not defending Bush. I'm just tired of everyone using him as a scapegoat for everything. And you are just annoyed that you got your facts wrong and I called you on it.

I agree that it wouldnt be professional. I wouldnt want my specailized doctor (not in areas of sex) to be preaching me about sex ed. :eek3: I am there for one thing and one thing only - to treat whatever condition i may have.

As for bush being a scapegoat - He did many suggestions and tried to get things changed for our country - but the senate didn't pass or approve. So whadda gonna do ? :|

"I would prefer that a chiropractor not do it, either."

What did you mean by that?

Exactly what I said. I would prefer that a chiropractor not do it either. Did you forget your question?

How did you know I was a chiropractor?

I'm not saying any of you don't have a life.

So, you wouldn't want your chiropractor teaching sex ed either, huh?

I'm not a moron. Your little attempt to claim to be a physician, and then the way you stated your specialty was all I needed.:giggle:

How did you know I was a chiropractor?

And yes a chiropractor is a physician.

They have neither an M.D., nor a D.O. They cannot prescribe. They are not physicians. They are chiropractors, plain and simple. Why the need to misrepresent yourself?

Already told you how I knew. You gave it away yourself, in your attempt to misrepresent.

And, now I am off to my life in the service of others.

sorry nope. I go to chiropractor to fix my back, not to ask why my wang wang is burning and itchy. I go to ophthalmologist to fix my eyes, not to ask why my loin is on fire. I'm sure both knows about STDs but I prefer to hear it from doctor who is qualified and LICENSED in that matter. That's the reason why professionals have a license for specific field. If they do not have license in field other than their profession - sorry they are not in any position to talk about it.... In fact - it's illegal and professionally unethical!

if they want to talk about it to their own kids, go ahead. but you cannot speak of it as the professional (especially unlicensed)

U.S. Department of Labor:
"Chiropractors, also known as doctors of chiropractic or chiropractic physicians, diagnose and treat patients with health problems of the musculoskeletal system and treat the effects of those problems on the nervous system and on general health."

so do you have M.D. or D.O.? Are you able to write prescription? Are you allowed to perform invasive diagnostic procedure?

That's really weird about the chiropractor registering just to discuss STD.

Is it someone from here who just did not want to talk about it?

Did you know Chiropractic origin is Iowa? Palmer school in Davenport.

We think of them like snake oil salesmen. One almost killed my stepmother's mother by trying to treat her diabetes with orange juice.

Sorry I ticked everybody off.

I've ruined my own day.

oh that sucks. You ticked nobody off. Well you know - it's wednesday... somebody's gotta make some living. just a little suggestion - don't use your professional credential on debate issue to score some points especially when you are actually not professionally qualified & licensed for it. no hard feeling.

well try to have a good day :cool2:

Kids really do need to get educated about this sort of thing at an early age. It's a flawed solution to withhold that kind of information in hopes they would abstain from sex! Silly... absolutely ridiculous. Ideology and wishful thought aint gonna stop a pair of horny teenagers.

Using a gun without knowing how to use it is dangerous. Everyone has this gun at any age, whether some of you may admit to it or not. Everyone has gentials and a reproductive system therefore they should understand the full responsibility of taking care of themselves, just like owning a gun comes with a safety responsibility. There's nothing dirty about learning how to protect ourselves. Doesn't mean kids will go out having sex immediately. They will probably just be too scared by the info about STDs and HIV!
