What if the partner doesn't know they are carrying an STD?
If the partner didn't have sex with someone else prior to marriage, then he/she wouldn't have a sexually transmitted disease.

One can contract an STD genetically and may not know that they are carriers of the disease.

Herpes is the most common one.

Now that i think of it.... it can be genetic because a person can be born with Hepatitis C (which is considered as STDs). One of my close friend is Hep-C positive from birth because of tainted blood transfusion that her mother received from hospital.

Then it's not strictly an STD.

All the more reason for people to avoid sex outside of marriage; no one wants to pass down diseases to their children.

So, it was not a sexually transmitted disease. The hepatitis wasn't genetic either; it wasn't a genetic condition. It was transmitted by blood transfusion to the mother. That's neither a sexual activity nor genetic condition. Hepatitis is a disease that can be caught by ways other than sexual activity.

True.

But sexual activity can spread it.

A child born with HIV. Contracted it due to possibly from an Infected needle. Or hepatitis C. Does not necessary mean it was sexually transmitted.

Contamination can happen in other ways.

Herpes can be spread from simply drinking from an effected glass or fountain. Such as Mono can be. Well known as the kissing disease.

Certain STD can be from simply not washing your hands BEFORE you use the bathroom.

It's actually classified as an STD.

well - she can still give birth even if she's hep c-positive. that baby will have hep c via birth... hence genetic.

Not true.

It is classified how in was contracted.

A child may be born from a mother that has hepatitis C. From drug use then born with it.

It would be classified as a blood born illness.

Not an STD

Same with HIV.

Blood born illnesses are not just a STD.

It is just one way it is transmitted. So not necessarily by sex only.

Eww STD, shivering

THE REAL REASON WHY A MAN SHOULD STICKS WITH JUST ONE WOMAN...IT'S CALLED SAFE SEX!

You don't have to worry about catching AID, HIV and STD if you sticks with one man/woman all your life.

As long he/she is faithful, no problem!

It's hard to trust a man or a woman when you don't know if he or she might be screwing around, what's the points in screwing around for ?

My friend went to the Doctor and he said that the Dr told him it is very nasty to be screwing around with multiply people.

There's AID and anyone that is sleeping around is sleeping with DEATH!!!

I won't say what book I read, cuz I'm not allow to bring up religion, but it said that a man should sticks with one wife, be clean, you won't have to worry about catching anything if you sticks with the same person all your entire life, that's great, no worry about being sick from AID, HIV or STD.:giggle:

That why it say in the book which many do not read it get the bad sexually transmitted diseased, it made alot of sense why the book say about sticking with one person.

And what will happen if a person doesn't sticks with one person, ended up getting you know what who's fault is that ?

I don't believe in sleeping around, cheating (adultery) or having an affair, too nasty and I'm happily married to my wonderful husband and we are free of AID, HIV and STD, thankfully!

I have friend who has VD unable to have children, that's sad, another friend has Syphllis...Those of any kinds of STD people have is what makes them sick, it can damaged your organ, brain and more, very dangerous, with medication is fine as long the person keeps up with it and if not whose know what gonna happen next.

My mom's bestfriend's husband got Syphillis, he had no ideas he had it and it effected his brain and he killed his father and buried his father under the cement, it was in the newspaper long time ago in the state of WVa. The doctor report that the syphillis messed his brian up and is what lead him to kill his father, he could have kill someone else, doctor puts him on medication but it would do no good, because his brain already effected (damaged). He was sent to prison. I don't know if he's still alive but I can ask my mom about it.

It's scary you know, these diseases aren't funny, very miserable and depressive.

I do feels bad for anyone who has it and I hope they keeps up with their medication and I believe many has learned a hard lesson that it is no fun to sleeps with multiply people when there's nasty sexually transmitted diseases going around plus AID/HIV. sleeping with death and you don't know which one of them has it, it doesn't matter how many you sleeps with, it takes one to get it.

About Condom, they are not use for multiply people, condom are made for two people who are in love with each other and to protects themselves from making bacon..LOL!

Condom can rips, tears, breaks and may have holes in it, can slipped off and spills all over, that's not a good way to protects yourselves by sleeping with multiply people.

I believe it's not love to sleeps with someone on a one night stand or on first date...Get to know that person for a very long time before anything goes, but it's best to "TRUE LOVE WAIT".

It is a reference to Herpes. The CDC considers it to be an STD.

So the spread of some STD's has nothing to do with abstinence only teaching, huh? I wonder if they were included in the statistics?

good luck

then why get into relationship? your hand and :type: are all you need if you're that afraid about STDs. Cybersex helps as well.

My friend went to the Doctor and he said that the Dr told him it is very nasty to be screwing around with multiply people.
your doctor is in ABSOLUTELY no position to lecture like that. it is unethical and should be reported to Goon Squad.

There's AID and anyone that is sleeping around is sleeping with DEATH!!!
there's idiots and crazy people all around you. you have higher chance of getting killed by them than AIDS. Beside - many people with AIDS live very long.

I won't say what book I read, cuz I'm not allow to bring up religion, but it said that a man should sticks with one wife, be clean, you won't have to worry about catching anything if you sticks with the same person all your entire life, that's great, no worry about being sick from AID, HIV or STD.:giggle:

is that book by any chance called Bible?

Passing on the Hep C virus is not the same as a genetic disease. This is the definition of genetic disease:

"A genetic disorder is a disease caused by abnormalities in an individual’s genetic material (genome)."
Genetic Disease Information

Herpes is a viral infection, not a genetic disorder.

:hmm: good point. I was thinking of "genetic" as - "passed on thru blood via birth"... not as genetic disorder. I don't know what's the right term to describe what I just said.

But it's not only an STD. That's how statistics get skewed.

so now you know for fact that they are included in the statistics? :hmm:
