Believe it or not, people can live without sex. Abstinence isn't a fatal disease.

Marriage to more than one woman isn't part of God's plan. The husband should be faithful to one wife, and one only, until death.

In your interpretation. Obviously, there are numerous faith based philosophies that would disagree with that. You can apply that interpretation to self only.

And no, abstinence isn't a fatal disease. Just one that makes people very judgemental, and ill tempered.

Depends on what's required by that authority. :)

Well, if it was good enough for Adam and Eve, it should be good enough for all. None of us need a marraige certificate. We can just conduct our own ceremony, call ourselves married, and engage in all the sex we want.:giggle:

Wonder who supplied the penicllin back then for the syphillis?

People can call themselves anything. By their fruits you shall know them.

If you want to take a look at their fruits--go ahead--knock yourself out.

I'll stick to my own fruits-- thank you very much!

They didn't conduct their own marriage ceremony. God performed it. He was THE Law. He was the Author and Authority.

Still no documentation. All we know is that He gave Adam a playmate to worship him and be the housekeeper, cook, etc., and multiply.

Plus she was not to speak against the man.

Wait a minute--you're a woman, I'm a guy-and you're speaking against me-- which God says you have to obey the man.

I suppose you attended the wedding?

And, again Reba....I don't mind the issue of faith being discussed when it is pertinent to this topic, but your preaching is really getting out of hand.

Document? The book of Genesis. And yes, the marriage was witnessed. Father, Son, and Holy Spirit were all present. :)

Playmate? No. A partner. Yes.

Genesis 2:8
"And the LORD God said , It is not good that the man should be alone; I will make him an help meet for him."

The Bible doesn't say that women can't speak "against" men. It says that women are to be submissive to their husbands.

You aren't my husband. ;)

The Bible says women can't preach in church.

This isn't church. ;)

Thank god for that!

No, it isn't church. So if we want a sermon, or a Bible study class, we can all go to church. This is exactly why people don't answer their doors when the Mormons knock.

Now, back on topic.

Just make sure it isn't a Catholic church where one gets on their knees.

Who knows where the priest has been. :giggle:

I have never seen a sex ed class say here is a condom "Go out and find some one to have sex with."

Sex ed teaches kids to wait, as well it teaches them to protect themselves.

There you go. :thumb:

Mod's Note:

Some posts are leaning into religious debate and going off topic once again. So I'm closing this thread.
