It's usually because they are suffering from guilt themselves--afterall look at some of the big name Preachers that have "fallen".

Sad fact is that most Christian churches take the "guilt approach" to sexuality towards single folks as well as marriage folks.
The Christian churches that I've attended preach redemption that is available to everyone. There's no need to live with guilt.

No need to live with guilt....just without sex.

That's not what my church teaches.

Oh. really. Well, if sex is forbidden between any other than those who are married, then it would be considered a sin. And where is it that your church teaches that sinners go?

However, before this deteriorates into a religious discussion....how about those STDs and teen pregnancies?

Giving in to the fleshly nature is even easier when friends, family, and society promote self satisfaction over self discipline.

No one said that living righteously would be easy in this world. Things of value rarely are easy.

Has it ever occured to you that maybe the big man upstairs wants you to have some self-satisfaction?

There is nothing wrong with enjoying sex with your husband or significant other.

You don't need church for redemption. Just ask the big 'J' himself.

Nor is it realistic.

Just because you value a sexless lifestyle doesn't mean that everyone does, or should.
For people who see physical life on earth as "that's all there is" that might be the way it seems.

No, Byrdie, no! It is only for the purposes of procreation!!

I didn't say that a church was needed for redemption, did I?

I posted, "The Christian churches that I've attended preach redemption that is available to everyone."

That doesn't exclude people from knowing Jesus outside of church.

I don't think any sex has something with religious and not all fundamentalists are way like that.

For me, I'm considered sex as normal when in private area, even woman can't get baby without sex, except for share the orgasm from men like little bottle of sperm.

Enough with the religious discussion. This thread is about sex.

I've never said that sexual pleasure between a husband and wife was wrong. God designed Adam and Eve to enjoy each other.

Uh, oh. Do I hear a sermon about the sins of homosexuality coming?

It was Shel that start to brought the religious discussion and cause some members to discuss about religion.

Then enjoy it.

You don't need to dictate how individuals have their sex lives--just worry about yours.

Doesn't have anything to do with convenience. It has to do with the topic of the thread.
Which is the spread of STDs, right? If people lived more chaste lives and honored their marriage vows there would be fewer cases of STDs. So it's relevant to the topic.
