Skipping Breakfast (Just for Info)

Breakfast is one of the key things that can help you with weight loss, if you have issues with it. Don't believe me? ---> here
The reason mostly has to do with not just what you eat, but it helps keep you from eating a big meal at lunch that doesn't really do much for you, if you are working.

I've probably only skipped breakfast, in the past 10 years, guessing no more than 15-20 times due to other issues. No time is not an excuse!

Skipping meals cause the metabolism to slow down. Some dietitians even recommends eating several small healthy meals a day to keep the metabolism working.

That is so true...always worked for me whenever I eat several small healthy meals. Problem is that during the school year, I get soooo busy with my job and I forget so come lunch, I am starving.

I'm not a morning person at all but I do eat breakfast once in a while. It just depends on the likes of my mood to do that.

Eating Breakfast does help me feel fulfilled and it gives me the energy to carry on throughout the day. At most, I'd just grab some cereal or donuts for this but once in a blue moon, I'd eat a big, ol' hearty breakfast with all those western omlettes, french toast and whatever comes across on the menu. :)

I usually drink light grape\cranberry juice before I go to work at 6 am and at 3 hrs later I eat apple and a bowl of strawberries before lunch time. That way I get more energy for the rest of the day.

That is when they say grab an apple or something small to eat on the run.

I know it is hard for teachers. Since we are not allowed to eat in front of the kids.

I'm not a morning person, nor a big fan of food either! LOL What I do is I eat a late breakfast/early lunch (brunch) for the early part of the day, usually fruit, oat sources and seafood. Not appetizing for most, but at least I get my nutrients.

JL (not Jennifer Lopez okay) It's JamieLynn...(Gasp) I had to steal your chocolate crossiant.

Mmm, you got me thinking now. I'm going to get one at coffee beans tmw :) Thanks for bringing up that chocolate crossiant.

You're welcome... ;) Coffee Beans' chocolate croissant is pretty much yummy but to me nothing compares with a real French chocolate croissant :cool2: (no offense!) ;)

Same here.

I only have breakfast when I feel like it.

I also have breakfast if someone invites me to breakfast or it's part of something that's been planned for the day.

For instance, if I was attending a workshop and breakfast was provided when people showed up... I'd have some.

If my parents were making breakfast for everyone during the holidays, I'd have some.

If a friend invited me to join her at IHOP or Denny's for breakfast, I'd join her. :)

I just had a chocolate croissant :D YUM!

oh you makes me jealous as to where you live. i know you live there. Id love to try that one. I rather tasting the one you are having since you are not in usa. I can't seem to remember where you are in now. sorry hehe

i can't live without my breakfast. if without it, i am in the most crankiest in the whole world.

I sometimes have a big breakfast or small breakfast. I cant miss it!

Anyway, my friend from school, he would eat cold pizza for breakfast, I eat that too sometimes :) (I know it's weird but true)

I eat hot oatmeal or cold cereal and drink my milk or juice for breakfast. If I don't eat then I get cranky. My BF says, "If you don't eat otherwise you're going to be bitchy".

Some people don't have time for breakfast, they just grab a cereal bar or protein drink. (I don't eat cereal bar YUCK because I don't like it).

I rarely skipped breakfast.

Peace

you made me feel guilty to eat my breakfast right now. Soy milk with granola cereal.

ZOMG! That's so true!

One time, I skipped breakfast. A few hours later, I had a heart attack and ended up in the hospital... where I later suffered a stroke. It led to kidney and liver failures. I had to have my intestines replaced and I was being fed through a tube through my ass.

I was in the hospital for 5 months!

Now, I'm okay. :)

You scary me. pffftttttttttttt

Just kidding... I've never had problems skipping breakfast. In fact, if I do eat breakfast... I often end up getting more tired than I do skipping it.
