Roe v. Wade - For Men

third party? no need to. plenty of organizations like that such as Planned Parenthood and... your doctor. and there are plenty of support groups for women who chose abortion and women who chose against abortion (such as "Single Mother" support group).

Cos of this; find Ali's comments that I borrowed her quote cos I can see what she said.

Karissa, I totally agree with you about counseling.

Not necessarily about showing pictures of the aborted fetus. Honestly, I never understood that. Is it supposed to be "better" if the baby still looked like a mass of flesh anyway?

Because some of them actually want to know what abortion look like. I'm not kidding..... I don't know why they want to. :dunno:

support group is usually conducted by a licensed counselor (some are not). The only difference is that in "professional counseling" - it's a private one-on-one session and it ain't free but it depends on person's preference.

Not really. Support groups are based on the composition of people who lean a certain way or facing the same issues. I would not jump into a support group or admit myself to an organization feet first without seeing professional help to gauge what's on my compass as my heart and mind seldom ever line up.

:ty: for discussing and debating with me. It's nice to have a chat with y'all. I think I got enough for today.

Cheers~ :ily:

And some people, for various reasons, are not suitable for the group format. Group counseling is very different from support groups.

you said it.

I am sure you "think" that way. No sir, you got busted.

Comparing an aborted fetus to spaghetti O's?

I thought you were capable of mature thought ... I was wrong.

Takes a certain maturity to understand and appreciate dark humor.

I learn best from watching.

Well, not television since it's crud, but I do have a hard time grasping a concept on paper until I am shown it.

I use movies a lot to stress certain points with students. Its a great tool. And puts things in a format that they can easily relate to, allowing for that fluid application I'm always preaching about.:giggle:

ok. I'm sorry if you got offended by my tongue-in-cheek comment even though you have used distasteful tongue-in-cheek comments many times especially in political threads.

so moving ahead - any comment about this?

and plus - he had a bad experience with psychologists.

really? This is news to me.

Goodnight Jillio .. I gotta get some zzzzz's.

Nothing personal from me. I respect your expertise, just trying to share with you what I have been exposed to, and it hasn't been very positive.

I apologize if you took all of this personally, but I cannot "unsee" what I have seen and will not pretend that there is no major corruption in your line of work.

I am not saying YOU are corrupt.

What's the point of harassing him over distrust of mental health professionals? How is it even related to the thread. Are you sure you don't have a bone to pick with him, Jiro?

I know I started it, but it was to dislodge his debate style.

I think Jiro mentioned it as explanation for the ad homimem attacks from Steinhauer against me. Especially since Steinhauer brought that into the discussion.

If you look back - I am questioning his credibility - "really? This is news to me."

What I have been exposed to has been victims of misdiagnosis.

Coupling your comments with Jillio's, I would say you are attempting to invalidate by argument by saying "Hey, this guy is nuts!"

But I don't treat life like it is a joking matter, nor do I compare an aborted fetus to spaghetti O's, nor do I rush to someone's defense who made said "joke" and defend them.
