Random Vents.....

I'm sitting here in my truck an hour and a half early for my appointment and I have to pee. There's no public restrooms nearby.

Well, with an Hour-n-half spare time, I'd say you should shoot over to a gas station, or if there's a small convenience shop business nearby just stroll in and buy some M&M's or something and use their restroom.

She tried to give us a schedule, but thus far it's been woefully inaccurate. I understand the amount of work, and yeah, I'm kinda tweaked at it being so close together and sprung on us half the time, but my main problem is her classes. She told us one day, that she doesn't "lecture" so much as "facilitate learning". In essence, she has us read about something, then work in groups to figure it out, and when we ask questions her answers are generally irrelevant. Either that or condescending (i.e. Question: What angles can I use to discuss Oedipus using a psychological analysis? Answer: Well, the story of Oedipus is where we get the term "Oedipus complex"...) It's like....can you teach me something I DON'T already know? I just don't like that she seems to want us to do the work for her.

I'm going to take a few wild guesses here. This teacher is:

-young (let's say mid 20s to early 30s)

-went to a small liberal arts college.

-"working on a novel."

-a hipster.

Did I win?

I have it took care of now. I'm sitting in the waiting room. Man they've changed this place a ton since the last time I was here in the late 1990s. It was expected though. It feels like a ritzy hotel with magazines neatly placed on the table in protective binders. Theres only one other person besides the secretary. An elderly woman that is looking at me like what is a young person like you doing here? Lol.

The jerk is still ignoring me without any reason! Oh well!

I don't think anyone living on public assistance should be allowed to PROCREATE! If you want children, be prepared to support them. If you have to go on assistance after you have children - fine. But to continue make them while getting my money is just misguided.

Whew. I feel better now, thank you.

And the people at the rheumatologist's office. I'm the only one younger than 105!

Nope, she has a daughter my age.

-went to a small liberal arts college.

I don't believe so, but a possibility. I'm not familiar with the college she went to, it was a CalState or UC, though.

-"working on a novel."

Not to my knowledge, but also a possibility. She hasn't said anything, and teachers who "work on books" often do.

-a hipster.

Dunno. She seems to have not-so mainstream teaching methods, though, so I'll give you that one.

Did I win?

I'll give you the win. Yay!! :h5: I'll just be glad when I'm done with her class.

Thanks to inheriting my dad's grey hair, When I go to various Dr.'s office's they automatically assume I'm a senior citizen. Now thanks to the Med's related stroke, I've got a cane and am on Medicare too, which seems to affirm their assumptions. :squint:

Tell that to my cousin who has three children, all of them by different fathers and has never been married. It's easier for her to not keep a job and get help rather than to keep a job and do it on her own.

Case in point. I wish somehow we could stop this from happening. It's not good for the children, and women like this seem to breed without conscience.

Stop offering additional benefits after the second child. It will force the parent to get off their toot and actually do something. If the children are not being provided adequate care then DCF/CPS gets involved.

I've noticed it's rather difficult to find and keep a job while your laying flat on your back undressed with your feet in the air.

^^^Agree. And get the men who father these children to contribute financially to their offspring. Baby daddies - please think about the children you may be fathering and not just gettin' some.

It irritates me when I hear someone say My-baby-daddy. I'm just like ugh, REALLY?

I'm single parent and the father of my child is not involved in our lives at all by his choice. But you won't catch me going around screaming "My-baby-daddy!" That's just..... wrong.

LOL, I hate it too! That's why I used the term, I meant it in a derogatory way. Don't worry, Dixie, I won't *axt* you about him!

My vent for today..I hate being so tired and having things to do. However, it was a good day at work though. The gerbil seems to be working with my students for now. The bullying has ceased but for how long? Trying to teach them empathy. One of them asked me why I chose that gerbil and I said it was because the other gerbils were picking on him ...attacking him so I felt bad for him. LOL

Medicine has become so 'specialised' these days. I hate it when doctors pass you around from one doctor to another, like a ping pong ball, when they call you back for the results of your tests (with you anticipating answers) and say - that's not it, it's maybe this, I'll refer you. You leave feeling you are back where you started. I've been having vision problems,
had a MRI. Not tumor-related, that is good news, however the doctor then says 'it must be something to do with your vision not your brain'

Just pissed off that those [expletive] kept saying, "i will pay you back when my ssi arrives"..

Let me rewind back: few of them made the bets with me over Detroit Lions vs 49ers (my team). I won the bets from them and expected them to pay up, UNFORTUNATELY, they last minute saying, uhh i forgot my wallet, i dont have money will pay you back when ssi arrive, and all of bull[expletive].

I didnt ask for money but they GUARANTEED that they'll win over me which it got me burning mad. Kept continue trash talk at me and i decided to accept the bet. After game, im upset.

Note to self: DO NOT MAKE BET WITH PEOPLE WHO HAVE SSI.

sorry for my blunt vent but thanks anyway :]

This sucks. Have a million things to do in so little time. I'm just sooo stressed out..oh and I'm also pissed because I can't go to gally this weekend :( something came up. Oh well, maybe next month, I won't be as busy.

People shouldn't bet if they can't payoff. It's stupidity. And I personally, don't like people who gamble that much, it tells me right away about some of their failures. (I have a father that gambles...)

Also, I don't think you should say that everyone who's one SSI is like that. Just saying that's all. Instead, just realize you ran into some crappy people and leave it at that.
