Random Vents.....

Our fricking internet/phone/cable was out for several hours tonight....I'm gonna blast Comcast in the AM...have them take it off my bill....It's happening too much for my liking...

Our three-year-old big-screen JVC TV quit this morning. It won't power on at all. It's beyond warranty, and we can't afford to replace it. :(

Boo on me for my young foolishness. I am thinking I should try at Marva's - they are an employer that hires disabled people, hopefully they will have a part-time position and will be willing to work around my school schedule if things work out.

Spider traps to the rescue! I got some spider traps online that have some kind of spider attractant. It must work because I caught a whole bunch of spiders in these. Don't worry, they'll be dead when you get around to throwing them out. Here's the kind I used:

you need to reset your PRAM and clean up your preference files and computer's cache. If you google "macbook wireless keeps disconnecting" - you will see all kinds of instructions on fixing that. I had that problem too and it was driving me up the wall, it was constant connect/disconnect all day long. It's finally solved.

Is ur carrier "Comcast"??...grrrr....anyhow, call ur Carrier up, make a complaint and tell them to take 2 days off ur bill...even let them know that ur sick of their lousy service, and are complating switching Carriers...That will do it!..You'll get a lot more off ur next month's bill, as I did this myself....Ours was out the other day, the phone, TV and Internet.
 
I had lots of problems with Comcast too in terms of the wireless. An unbelievable number of service calls. All of which I got charged nothing for because it was problems on their end (oftentimes they will charge for service calls if it is a customer-based problem and not Comcast) so that was good. I now have the Dish and that has been 100% perfect thus far.

Lanapoo, contact an a employment attorney in your area. Since it's escalated to such blatant behavior, you need to do it for your own protection. Document everything including date, time, what happened, etc. Have a third party witness available. You can tell your boss that you want another supervisor present. He'll know exactly why and he may tone it down. Ultimately, the best thing is to get another job but protect yourself in the meantime. Sorry that you're dealing with this.
 
Son has been downloading a game that he's got a free trial type thing for and it's taken all day and still isn't done. He went online on his DSiXL and found that it could take up to 3 days depending on internet speed and RAM. Well I have a good amount of RAM that I know of, and hi-speed internet. I closed all open programs including my VP and IM's and such and it's still loading. He started it at about 10 this morning and we have another 0.1 GB to go out of 3.5.
