The boys have the TV !!...UFC...nothing else worth looking at...and when ur trying to not smoke and watch UFC...
My job is asking more and more of us...I'm behind in everything...we got a new curriculum that is just WAY too hard and when we say something about it, the admin says to modify it...that kind of smug answer PISSES ME OFF. It takes weeks to modify a curriculum...so what's the point?! Plus now they have mandated more after school meetings and more piles of paperwork. I need to do lesson plans and teach. My week averages 55-60 hours of work now...and I'm still not caught up!!!!!
Hope so!!! I will admit I adore my bosses...they really are good to us. The expectations come from higher-ups in suits who are clueless about education, not them. It's just frustrating.
The after-school shit...that's gotta stop.
They mandate every Tues and alternating Fridays for us to stay until 4:30...now they are starting to have more Fridays and added Wednesdays a couple of times. Last week we had to stay until 4:30 on Tuesday, Wednesday, and Friday...sometimes we have school-wide training on Mondays until 5. 7:30 to 5 and our lunch breaks are 45 minutes. We had our Open House until 6 a few weeks ago. Long days. And for the same pay!
What happened to teaching? Sounds like they have laid on even more paper work and BS since my dad retired from teaching 3 years ago. Here in AR we have the SmartCore Curriculum.
Today, my pastor embarrassed me by bringing me an FM receiver during sermon in front of everyone. Kinda made me mad, but obviously he's not dealt with this so he doesn't know how to handle it. I didn't want to bite his head off, but I was a bit upset about the way he did it. I think he meant well, just kind of bumbled his way about it in a way.
I didn't want to wear the FM system for two reasons:
1. I don't want to share ear wax with the congregation as it is earbuds, not headphones.
2. I just didn't feel ready to use the FM system again after it was taken away in school 20 years ago.
Is this normal?? Am I going insane?
I agree that shouldn't have done it during sermon. I belive everything should be taken care of before service as to not distract everybody.
I probably turned 4 shades of red from the embarrassment. I'm wondering what the best route is to take care of this in a nice manner.
