Random Vents.....

Not looking into working with rental cars out there at below zero temperatures. Brrr, wish winter can skip to spring.

How do you get a job at Enterprise? Do they offer part-time hours for college students? Are the hours crazy and way varied?

I once asked them about a job at Enterprise. They told me you have to have a college degree to work in office renting cars out to people. Only hire those without degree to wash cars and etc..

I had to ask what was so hard about renting cars out to people?

Boo. I don't feel like washing cars by hand in the middle of January. I'm sure they just take the vehicle to the nearest car wash and do a touchless carwash and vacuum it out really well and hang a new air freshener in it. Besides I'm pretty sure you have to be able to drive a standard - which I can't do.

It's not hard too drive a standard... besides, it's way more fun to grind gears on a car that is definitely not your own!!!

My least favorite chore is cleaning my dog's ears. She has delicate pink skin. Gotta bite the bullet and do it. I do love the dog. lol

My least favorite is shaving her hair from her rear area!...It grows so long (she's a Pomeranian)...so she goes to the Groomers for her ears and teeth brushing. And I'd rather keep her hair "short" during the summer..but a little longer in the Winter.

She even "wallowed" into Geese poop the other day, was all over her cheek hair...she runs them off, and then wallows in their poop? She got a chewing out from me! "No Lady does that!"

AAAAAAARRRRRGGGGGHHHHHH!

(and that is all I have to say about that!)

Your dogs are grosser than mine. Ewww!
Now, ear cleaning doesn't seem so bad. lol My pooche doesn't like it. Dogs hate when you put fluid in their ears. At least my dogs do.

Oh definitely one of my least favorite chores as well! Boo, my late Pomeranian, when his butt itched (I guess) would do his "sit & rump wipe" on the carpet. Which, of course, disgusted me and made me quite unwilling to touch the floor until it got shampooed.

Stupid frigging A/C is not working again. It's close to 92 in the house. All the fan are doing is pushing hot air around. Can't open windows due to allergies with all of us except my mother.

That sucks, Kristina. Can you head somewhere else for the hottest part of the day?

I got the job thru Washington state job bank in 2007. I've been working since Nov 2007, so that makes it 4 years in Nov 2011.

If you want work at the front counter, work with customers to rent cars out and all that shit. Yes, you need a college degree for that position.

If you want to work as a car prep or a driver, you don't need a college degree. Car prep have more hours and are very flexible. Many college students work as a car prep at my work because of flexible schedules, etc. The downside is that you don't get any benefits, the only thing you would get is up to 3 days paid off and retirement with 401k. Also, they only limit up to 35 hours a week for car prep positions.. again that depends on the location on how busy it is or not.

Enterprise do not have ANY cars with a standard transmission. All of them are automatic, no matter what.

If you work in the winter, you still have to clean them manually in a car wash bay. We have a heater in the garage to keep warmer than being outside in the cold. I hate going out and warming up cars, scrape ice and snow off the cars, etc. Brrrrr. I had to come to work when it was -20 degrees outside.

Not all Enterprise offices have their own car wash bay. Some of them, you have to drive to a car wash and vacuum it yourself outside of Enterprise building in the back, etc. My best friend works at different Enterprise branch in Issaquah, WA which doesn't have a wash bay.

I'd be so miserable. Im glad I live in Ohio b/c the weather is cool and A/C is shut off. :)

Nah - it's too much trouble to head to the library daily and I hate crowds so the 5 malls are not the answer. I just hit the cold shower and sit in a dark room.

Good. A place that's not crowded during the day is the grocery store. Some of them here have seating and free wifi. Keep it in mind for future reference. :)

This is true... and the reason for that is because everyone that isn't a car washer is either management or a manager trainee... so they think that you should have a college degree. And depending on where it is, and how much snow you have... normally in the winter they just vacuum out the cars, they never take it to a commercial place to get the cars washed, they either wash them by hand in the summer or clean the inside and the windows/headlights in the winter. (my so used to work for rental car, and my friend worked for Enterprise themselves)

I feel better.. Guess, I am umm furious with my girls didn't chores in my home!
