They say that with all of them, and a mass killing is 3 or more killed....3 really? so 4 killed must be the worst....the reporters and everyone else are just idiots. Maybe they just refer to it just for that area since it never happened before? smh

What I heard an FBI agent say and what I read in the paper today, Marteen was removed from the watch list when the FBI could not confirm the claims made about him.

The police aren't going to rush the guy until they have all their ducks in a row and can do it with the least chance of any of them being killed. In this case it took three hours and leaves you wondering how many of Marteen's victims died during the interim while they bled to death lying on the floor.

Omar Mateen was taken off a terrorist watch list, but keeping him on it wouldn't have stopped him from buying guns

Omar Mateen was placed on a terrorist watch list maintained by the FBI when its agents questioned him in 2013 and 2014 about potential ties to terrorism, according to U.S. law enforcement officials who spoke on condition of anonymity to discuss the case.

He was subsequently removed from that database after the FBI closed its two investigations, one official said.

In the first investigation, Mateen was questioned by FBI agents after they were told he had made inflammatory comments that co-workers worried were sympathetic to terrorists.

The FBI agents determined that Mateen had not broken any laws and closed the investigation, a second official said.

They questioned Mateen again the following year because agents had learned he had contact with an American who later died in a suicide bombing in Syria.

Even if Mateen were still on the terrorist watch list — known as the Terrorist Screening Database — the designation would not have precluded him from buying the semiautomatic pistol and assault-style rifle that he used in Sunday's massacre.

material evidence? all we have is him making a phone call to 911 prior to attack saying a pledge to ISIS and mentioning about Boston marathon bombers. and yes ISIS has praised Omar Mateen for this attack and has called for more attacks like this.

so my question for you - did Omar Mateen receive any training and instruction from ISIS to execute this attack?

There are so many factors involved that probably the public will not get all the answers. In my opinion, false flag in all aspects.

this guy showed up took shots at cops and they waited hours as he smoked people until they went in

that smacks to me as cowardice..

that doctrine works with criminals. who are not dedicated killers for a religious ideology. as criminals can be talked down and shown they have a chance when they get out and so on
with zealots that doctrine of wait and talk wont work as they are getting 70 goat virgins in heaven anyway..

if your only concern as a cop is the least chance of you being killed then your in the wrong job really

as a matter of fact besides all the sick patting on the back law enforcement has been giving themselves the last day
they really really screwed the pooch on this

their is also a plm with swat tactics in regards to stacking.
which works when your facing a criminal
but is an easy death trap when facing a dedicated attacker whos getting 70 goat virgins when hes done...

Like I said: He's dead, so now we will have to rely on medical records, police academy tests and family and friends statements. The first three haven't come out yet, but now that he's dead the medical records are no longer private, so we will have to wait and see what they say. "If it looks like a duck, swims like a duck, and quacks like a duck, then it probably is a duck."

Waiting period? Check
Registered weapon? Check
Additional fees? Check
Additional paperwork? Check
 
direct communication and training from ISIS?
 
This entire case is only based upon theory and possibilities. It will take a very long time to pin point what really happened.

The shooter did call 9-1-1 and even pledged ISIS allegiance. That tells me something it was a terrorist attack.

No one mentions San Bernardino any more . That happened close to six months ago and people are still grieving.

We never will have all the answers. The local authorities and the FBI will whitewash the final report on the shooting to put themselves in the best possible light and show that they missed nothing. Look up some of the past mass murderers final reports and see how they were watered down or whitewashed, the same will happen in Orlando. The Orlando Police have to work on two homicide reports and explain how two people on two consecutive days were able to kill people in public venues without any police presence or security at the scene to keep shooters from gaining axcess. Should be an interesting read.
