No need. I know the CTA very well. Mainly I ride the Metra these days, as it's fast, and almost always on time. The CTA? Not so much.

Oh, and 54th/Cermak for the Blue Line? Closed years ago. That map is WAY outdated. We now have a Pink Line here.

Great pics! Thanks for sharing these. I'm thinking about going to Chicago one day in the summer with my kids to sightsee and perhaps, go to the aquarium there. It's only 3 hours away from here which is a perfect driving distance.

No, I didn't. I found them on my tablet digging through my gallery, and thought it would be cool to add. No worries-- more coming today-- including the frozen lake.

They weren't taken from anybody's picture sites-- I merely pressed my finger on the website for Union Station and the Chicago Public Library. That's how I got those.

The last time I flew into Chicago was many years ago, so I don't remember which airport it was. It wasn't for a pleasant occasion, so I didn't pay much attention to the trip itself.
 
Nice pictures of the wall art. I would have liked to see it from further back so I could see where it was coming from. Lake pictures are great!! Amazing!

I had to walk over 10 blocks to get those pictures without obstruction. Wasn't easy.
 
Highlander is absoutely CORRECT-

O'Hare is NW! not North. Huge difference. Right about map being outdated. Pink Line added and Blue line has changed a bit. I'm from the blue line area. I dont use CTA at all. Got my own wheels and dont want to use public transit. Yuck.

I just got into a debate with a person that lives in "woodridge" and saying he's in the NW suburbs of chicagoland off Craigslist.

Heck no. Woodridge is way west or SW if he wants to call it. NW suburbs folks know dang where they are! if one takes off 90 to 53 N, that's the start of NW suburbs... for rest of you fake NW or N suburbianites I'll ask highlander for a map!

Ohare is truly NW! Bleep that, its not the North- anyone who lives in this NW area will chew your head off for making assumation that they're just the same thing. No. I'm from NW and I'm telling you, Not the same thing as N. BTW I grew up in the N suburbs and its worlds apart.

N burbs would be skokie and evanston areas. Old Orchard areas. thats the true N burbs
