I have scrolled back to 4 pages ago and still trying to locate your question.
What post number was it sweetie?
thanks... typo on my part.I doubt the Supreme Court would dare do that. Some of you probably had those same fears when Alioto was ensconced a couple years back.
Btw, it is Roe.
thanks... typo on my part.
One would think that feminists could, at least, congratulate Palin as exemplifying one of their core values: A woman's right to balance a career with family obligations. Some of you say she is a bad mother while some others of you she is bad for mothers who work because she is too good at having it all. She has a good support system of nearby family. She can juggle all this because she has a partner (hubby) who takes equal responsibility for raising their kids. Now that is real feminism. Kinda the opposite of "behind every man is a good woman".
The bickering here of late flies in the face of what real feminism is. Sure, there are questions about her qualifications just as there are questions about all candidates on any number of issues but her feminist role is not part of the VP's role.
That said, I like her, "I can do it" approach. That is, as opposed to "What can the government do for me" mentality of many, if not most, feminists.
I guess that I should write "Uninversal health care" all the time instead of use "healthcare" for short word ?
We don't use "universal" when we debate about healthcare issues. Almost all Europe countries do have universal healthcare but they (Europe countries) have different healthcare systems.
For Palin, she can afford to buy healthcare coverage for the family but she forget quickly that many Americans cannot afford to buy healthcare coverage for the family. Did you noticed that Palin didn't mention once about healthcare issues out of her lips during speech? It tells that she don't bother to think anything about women's choice and rights but herself and her own way.

health care may seem a good thing but in practice I see it as not working. The NHS has long waiting lists. I'm wondering if it's really the best example to follow.
Healthcare (NHS) is in England, not many European countries including Germany. I know NHS is only one of many European countries has the problem is waiting list. I'm sure that you know that almost all universal healthcare are in Europe countries but their system are not same.
I've been sick in both france and england. In france you pay and get better service. I believe in paying because a good health service is vital.
It's not correct... I had been experienced in France as well. They do have universal healthcare as the same as almost all Europe countries including England and Germany but that's just they have DIFFERENT healthcare system. I have healthcare card to show French doctor in clinic where my son had an accident and know that we come from Germany and do not need to pay extra because France belongs to EU.
I also think poor people should have assistance in paying their medical bills but don't think health care should be free for everyone since it doesn't work.
No, you cannot compare America with England or EU countries. Many Americans want healthcare for their family but they cannot afford to buy healthcare coverage because it's very expensive, that's why Obama and Hillary is for healthcare for all Americans.
Ah I see. Well, I was only trying to clear the air out because universal health care and health care both itself are a service to us all regarding to health care and to say that Palin does not support health care was confusing.
As for Palin's views on health care;

I find this interesting because I feel that Palin views health care as a business driven market rather than having the compassion knowing that not every americans are able to afford the skyrocketing costs of health insurances, medical bills and all that stuffs.
Okay, I understood - no problem...
And for link over Palin's healthcare...
To me, Sarah Palin's healthcare is not enough to compare with Obama's healthcare plan...
Sarah Palin on healthcare
Sarah Palin on Health Care
John McCain on healthcare
John McCain on Health Care
Barack Obama on healthcare
Barack Obama on Health Care
The rumor was spread out about Palin's oldest son's drug problems for weeks since I read the magazine at fitness studio at few weeks ago and then ignored it because I thought it's stupid rumor... because I know her son goes to Iraq. If the rumor is true then his army would of enlist... but it says that he entlisted in US Army because of drug issues...
You can look at google to judge yourself.
I am waiting for Sarah Palin to rebutt the rumor like what she did over her DS son but she didn't yet.
Thank you Maria, That was my point but my posts were removed. I also asked for all my posts and the responses to them to be removed from this thread but the mods decided not to for some reason. So for those of you that are not aware... Palin and McCain support overturning Roe vs. Wade. All ? I am not one of them. I support Palin in despite of your disagreement with her and what she represents for this country.

PHOENIX -- A healthy newborn was found alive in a trash can at a Valley middle school on Tuesday, Phoenix fire officials said.
The principal at Osborn Middle School at 11th Avenue and Highland said he heard a muffled noise coming from the trash receptacle and notified Phoenix Fire Department.
It was remarkable timing that the principal happened to pass by close to the time the baby was born on campus, said Sgt. Andy Hill of the Phoenix Police Department.
Fire officials said the baby boy was pulled from the trash can with his umbilical cord still attached. The newborn is receiving medical care at St. Joseph's Hospital and Medical Center.
The 14-year-old mother gave birth to the child inside the administration building, police said.
Fire department personnel said they later found the mother at a nearby apartment and she was taken to a hospital in good condition.
Some students said they know the baby's mother.
"I think she just got scared and didn't know what to do," said Rebecca Blake, a student.
Victor Rangle of the Phoenix Fire Department said he hopes the incident will bring attention to the safe haven law, which says an unwanted newborn can be dropped off within 72 hours at a fire station, police station, hospital or church with no questions asked.
"There is an alternative if you get to [that] point and are that desperate," Rangle said.
Because the child was left without care, police now consider the case a child abuse investigation and Child Protective Services is involved.
