Palin's Daughter--Pregnant!

I don't like the republican foreign policy but you have to admire Palin for accepting and backing her daughter's pregnancy. Even though it runs against her belief against sex out of wedlock.

I like her loads more for supporting her daughter in a time like this. Some people would have presurized her into an abortion just to save face.

Pehaps if she didn't support abstinence only, and was not intent on making it policy for all sex education, she would never have had to deal with her daughter's out of wedlock pregnancy.

The whole point is, if you can't make a concept work in your own home, the chance of it being successful for a nation is slim to none.

Ah, I see the explanation between the health care and universal health care. I had to ask to clarify your statement because you stated that Palin does not support the health care itself. There's a difference between universal health care and health care rather than none at all.

If she did not support the health care itself, She wouldn't be into for the health care as well.

I guess that I should write "Uninversal health care" all the time instead of use "healthcare" for short word ?

We don't use "universal" when we debate about healthcare issues. Almost all Europe countries do have universal healthcare but they (Europe countries) have different healthcare systems.

For Palin, she can afford to buy healthcare coverage for the family but she forget quickly that many Americans cannot afford to buy healthcare coverage for the family. Did you noticed that Palin didn't mention once about healthcare issues out of her lips during speech? It tells that she don't bother to think anything about women's choice and rights but herself and her own way.

Huh? All I see is that some of you are passing judgment on her.

It's not that we judge Palin's privacy background but political issues, we judge/question about. We find odd that Palin still not support Sex Education after her own daughter fell pregnant!!! That's what makes us think she is going to get it done as VP. Its about question of her future VP for the USA. Should we follow her own way when she already said that she do not support healthcare for all americans and have lack of knowledge of women's choice and rights? It look like that Palin criticize other women's choice when they are different as hers? It put me off total after read a lot about her... She think she is power and can do everything... and don't bother to think we are different as her...

I also have a problem with the fact that McCain asked the people to respect Palin's daughter's privacy but then Palin brought her daughter and boyfriend to the convention. It cannot have both ways.

Where are the "family values" when she decides to leave 3 days old newborn for return to work? And, where are the "family values" that expose her teenager daughter to this public? She should have said "no thanks" to McCain and taken care of her family first. Famliy value comes FIRST!!! Her dream career can WAIT!!!

Use your common sense, She didn't throw her daughter out on the street did she or not? Not being there 24/7 makes her a bad mother? People have a life-- a job.

 *scratch my head*

I guess you misinterpreted my post.

1. What's wrong with her job as Governor of Alaska? It look like that she want more than just job and see family everyday? If she want to have a big career then can wait until everything goes smooth at her private issues first then...

2. I'm a working mother, full time working and ALSO full time mother as well BECAUSE I see my family EVERYDAY. My job as a working mother, is to make sure that my boys have their mother around. My time for my family come first... I work to support my family, not make a big career and a lot money and see my family a little or rare. Get the difference?

Exactly! A candidate who talks about ptting family values first, and then fails to do so in her own life is a hypocrite.

You gotta be kidding me, Do you actually believe that all teenagers listen to their parents, follow their rules, their methods? I got news for you, The younger generations are getting rude, obnoxious, and downright disrespectful those days, and are you saying it's 100 percent the parent's fault? Interesting input. :hmm:

All?

My answer is No because there're good and bad teenagers, not all.

Teenagers don't always tell their parents what they are doin' outside of the parents' house.

It's normal. They do not have to tell me everything to 100% as the same as we don't have to tell them everything to 100% as well. We communicate openly a lot what and how we doing outside of our home. They have no fear to ask us questions if they have problems because they know that we don't treat them like children but listen and try to understand her talks.

That's like they don't tell their parents about takin' drugs with their teen friends.

Same thing with pukin' in the tiolet when teen girls try to be like models, they hide it from their parents as well....

Did you know why?

Until their parents saw somethin' that is revealin' out of their teenage kids.... too late to fix all that. Parents have to face it and move on. Of course, they will eventually be there for their teen kids.

Exactly but why can't Palin do that then when she KNEW about her teenage daughter situation including special need son BEFORE she took McCain's offer as his VP for?

McCain? I thought it was Obama was the one who told reporters to back off, and he's right. Palin's daughter should not be part of their politics. It's personal affairs. McCain is the one who spread the gossip to begin with. He just wants more voters to support him and not Obama.

Then she doesn't need to be parading her preganant daughter and Down's Syndrome son in front of the public in an attempt to gain sympathy votes, and to sway the anti-abortion crowd. If she puts them out there, they are subject to public scrutiny. Such is the life of a public person. Accept the consequences for the choices you make. Palin made choices, and now she has to accept the consequences, no matter how uncomfortable it makes her.

So you want everyone to follow your lifestyle? People do it all the time, fly a lot on business, and rarely home with their family so that makes them bad parents for making money to support their family. I see... :hmm:

I don't think that is what she was doing-- gaining sympathies. Candidates always bring their wives, husbands and family. Where have you been?

What you said about Obama is correct to defend Palin's privacy and said that children is out of poitical issues. Let me explain what and how it was start...

Before that Obama said something, the rumor spread out that Sarah Palin's DS son is daughter's child and pretend that DS child is Sarah's child. (the thread, I created about the rumor over Palin's DS son and then merged with Byrdie714's thread over annonnce Palin's daughter pregnancy.) Sarah Palin rebutted the rumor and said that DS son is her child and annonnced that her daughter is 5 months pregnant soon after McCain picked her up as her VP and speech... her daughter hold baby to hide her stomach... McCain angrily told the media (the people) to respect Palin daughter's privacy... Yes, Palin did said the same thing... few days after that Palin and McCain changed their mind and brought daughter and her boyfriend to the public... First they said "respect privacy" and then get daughter and boyfriend to the public" It can't have both way... *scratch my head*.... Soon after the public, then Obama defend Palin's privacy to tell us to not use children as political issues... The children issues should leave out of political issues.

Following the candidates and conventions. Where have you been? She specifically referred to her son and her pregnant daughter in her speeches. She is using them as poster children. If she doesn't want them scutinized, she needs to leave them out of her campaign.

I didn't ask if they're good or bad, I asked if they do listen to parents.

Because you did said "ALL" teenagers are rude, disrespect, listen etc.......... You should say some or most, not all.

I didn't ask if they're good or bad, I asked if they do listen to parents.

Of course they don't. Such is the nature of a teen ager. That is why we need to give them the information they need to protect themselves. Palin is opposed to providing that information not just to her own children, but to everyone's children. Her logic creates irresponsibility. The last thing we need is another irresponsible politician in office. Eight years of Bush was enough.

No, I did not, I asked Byrdie a question... you think all teenagers listen to their parents??. Please read the entire sentence, don't take words out of context.
