Now I undertand your question. To explain: Bristol is a child. Bristol is pregnant with a child. Therefore, it is one child (child #1) that is pregnant with another child(child #2).

I have paid attention to your posts. And if you are not voting, then I would say it is you are trolling the political threads. You are not voting, you are not informed on the issues, and therefore, are not in the thread to engage in informed and meaningful discussion.

And you just substantiated my clarification. I said "all who are informed of the issues". Obviously, that does not include you.

Who the hell cares if I'm not voting, I have every right to particular in any threads I would like. This is about Palin's daughter being pregnant.

If Palin wants to ban abortion and expect everyone to practice abstinence without sex education, then she better come up with some good plans on how to provide support to those young mothers or young fathers. Cant have one without the other.

I wish all teenagers would practice abstinence but history has shown us differently.

Yes, dear, and that is a political issue. Why would you be in the political threads if you are not interested in the political issues?

And I believe you started this disturbance with your accusation of others "trolling", specifically, me. I have been participating in this thread since its beginning, and am here because I am interested in political issues.

Even though you would like very much to believe that you are that important, disagreeing with you is not my primary reason for being here.

Exactly. She wants to overturn Roe v Wade, and teach abstinence only, while at the same time, cutting social programs and not insuring that these mothers and children will even be able to obtain basic health care.

I think we all would "hope" that teenagers practice abstinence, but the majority of us are also realistic to understand that it just ain't gonna happen.

And that frightens me to have her running this country..no thanks. I would love to have a woman president but I wont vote just for that reason only. I am not stupid! LOL!

Agreed. As much as I would like to see a woman in the White House, I refuse tovote for someone just because she is a woman. I want as qualified woman, and a woman who respects women's rights, not just a female member of the "Good Ole Boy network".

There has been speculation that she will run again in 2012. Nothing has been confirmed, though.

In that case, if you want to know what I know about Roe v Wade. I will say it here, girl. It's about when they took creation out of school and started teachin' evolution.

As for Palin, she wants to put creation back into the school system to give a different view to the Big Bang theory of evolution. Schools don't teach creation, they teach evolution because, of the court battle.

Roe v. Wade is not about creationism vs evolution.

Roe v. Wade is a landmark case that landed in US Supreme Court which was related to the abortion issue.

Public schools teach science. Creationism is not science. It is religion. It has no place in thepublic school system. If you want your child taught religion, then you need to send them to a private religious school. Public schools are not in the business of teaching or reinforcing religious principles, nor should they be. Separation of church and state. The fact that she wants creationism put back in the public schools is just another indication that she is totally unfit for political office.

The lawsuit to which you refer was in the 1950's. Roe v Wade was in 1973.

Huh? What does creation vs. Evolution have to do with Roe vs. Wade? I do not see the connection.

If Palin wants to put creation back in the schools to teach science, that's another reason for me not to vote for her and McCain because creation is about religous beliefs and in this country, church is separate from state which translates to schools. If one wants their kids taught creation, they have the option to enroll their kids in private schools that promotes certain beliefs but in public schools, a wide variety of the student population come from different backgrounds and beliefs. Palin cannot impose her beliefs on everyone and for her to believe she can is quite arrogant of her.

:-o first time I've ever heard of somebody saying something else about Roe v. Wade. Everybody knows it's about legalization of abortion. Creationism??? in Roe v. Wade?? :confused:

I think she was referring to the Scopes trial. Just confused about the two.

I see... I find it hard to believe because Roe v. Wade case is a very very very high-profile famous landmark case... something that anybody should know about it. It's like saying - World War 2 was about USA vs. Russia or Al Gore invented Microsoft. I guess sometimes some of us overlooked obvious thing :dunno:

hard to believe that a stanch pro-lifer gets confused between Roe v. Wade and Scopes Trial. Makes you wonder if that kind of person is misguided and misinformed about the issue :dunno:
