okay ad'ers. ask me anything (but be nice! :))

Welcome, no problem. Just that I understand the pressure, that words needs to be said. But no worries! :D

its funny. whats your favorite book?

oh, that's a difficult question for me to answer. as i mentioned, i'm an avid reader, so it's hard for me to pick one book.

one that comes to mind is called "a long way to go" (unfortunately i don't remember the author's name) and it was about several children who were unintentionally abandoned by their parents and had to travel across the country by foot to find them. during their travels, they lived on candy bars and soda, they visited the circus since one of the children loved animals, they snuck into hotels for shelter and met all kinds of fascinating people along the way. the book ends with the children locating their parents and living better than they had ever lived before. it was a very satisfying read.

Are you tired now?

nope. i've got lots of energy which is surprising considering the fact that i had a migraine earlier and am still sneezing my head off like crazy.

95% of the time, i don't know what it means to be tired. :laugh2:

yeah. migraines suck. :( i've had them for the past 21 years.

the migraine i had today though was killer because it wouldn't respond to my imitrex, so i was given a different migraine med instead and it worked within minutes.

My sister has these sometimes. Mirgranes are the worst, are you easing from the migrane earlier?

i agree. there's no pain that equates to a migraine (except perhaps back pain).

i'm doing okay now, but it feels like the headache is starting to come back a little. earlier this afternoon i was nauseous, vomiting (sorry to be so graphic) and extremely sensitive to sounds.

fortunately, all of that has gone away, so now i'm left with a dull headache and sneezing.

migranes are evil!!!!!

how often do you get them?

when i used to be on an anti-convulsant/mood stabilizer for my bipolar that was also designed for migraines, i didn't get them often.

however, i have recently been switched to a different mood stabilizer, so my migraines are coming back.

i usually have 2-3 migraines per week -- sometimes 4.

since this has been a recent problem for me, my doctor is thinking about putting me on a stronger migraine med than imitrex. hopefully it will help.
