thanks for your comments about my mother. :)

i graduate in december, 2009.

i actually *could* graduate in may of 2009, but i would have to take 3 classes in january and i'd rather not because i don't want it to negatively affect my 3.7 culmulative gpa. i want to graduate with honors if possible.

thats very cool. i wish i could do that.

whats your major?

i'm majoring in social work.

once i earn my bachelor's degree, i plan to continue with my master's (blindness rehabilitation) and then ph.d. (in what, i'm not sure -- i'll have to give that some thought.).

1) Did you used to be involved any sports/clubs/year book etc in high school?

2) If you were a president of USA, what would you do to improve your country?

In her case, to get an idea what she sees, try to see beyond your peripheral vision (beyond the limits of your sight). Doesn't look black, it's just 'not there'. That's how she sees.

Jess's right, the description fits just right.

Although I have an idea about your sight, your ability to use the internet still amazes me! :)

Same here

1. yes. i was in band (freshman and sophomore year -- i played the flute), advanced choir (junior and senior year -- 1st soprano), school newspaper
(4 years -- i served on the editorial staff during my junior and senior year), honors program (junior and senior year), forensics team (2 years in oratory/public speaking category placing 2nd at state level junior year -- only two points away from qualifying for nationals -- and placing 3rd at state level senior year) and debate (senior year -- i HATED it because of our debate coach. i *always* seemed to get laryngitis, so she made me time debates every week so our school wouldn't have to forfeit. :mad2:). my gym teacher tried to convince me to join the track team because he thought i was an excellent runner, but i wasn't very interested in sports at the time. i attended prom and homecoming during my sophomore, junior and senior year.

2. hmmm. that's a tough question. one thing i'd do is to try to increase awareness regarding people with disabilities and mental illness. i would also make sure to increase funding for programs that help people with disabilities, mental illness, minorities, the elderly and the poor. i would encourage people to vote every year and be a part of the political system instead of complaining because they don't like what's happening in our country. i'd also love to fix our economy and create more jobs. however, i don't know how well i could do the former since i'm terrible at math.

Do you use AIM/MSN to have conversation online with your friends or is it difficult to use, no?

i hate math. what was your favorite subject in high school?

i had several favorite subjects in high school. they were english, history, biology, chemistry and study hall -- all in that order. i also liked trigonometry even though i had some difficulty understanding the visuals.

i'm ashamed to admit that i've never tried using aim or msn before.

however, several ad'ers have told me they'd like to chat with me on either, so i'm seriously considering downloading both programs and giving it a try. i do know totally blind computer users who use both, so i know i wouldn't have problems with accessibility.

Give it a try, it doesn't hurt you :) Good luck, and let us know how it went for you

The videos you and the other deafblind user you were wondering what it is, it has been translated. Just letting you know.
