That's great to know. You guys started on PC's the year after I was born!
I started dabbling in PC stuff personally since 1989-90's, I missed out on all that Atari/Commodore rage and went straight into the NES world.
Are you able to go shopping for groceries by yourself or do you need help in selecting some foods like canned tomatoes?
On that note, how can you sort out your canned food and food that are frozen and spices that you store? Do you have a system that says tomatoes go in one shelf and a can of beans go into another self or anything like that?
I bet she's got like Clark Kent memory, anything she sets down she'll remember what it was
Do you like milkshakes?
I sent you a pm about what we were discussing earlier.
i *love* milkshakes -- especially chocolate and strawberry. <very happy> that reminds me, i used to love mcdonald's combination chocolate-strawberry shake, but i no longer know if they sell it anymore.
<going to respond to your pm...>
cool! atari and commodore were awesome! i remember having an atari 2600 that i used to play video games on. i was especially good at pac man, defender, asteroids, night driver and space invaders.
Forgive me, but I'm just a little confused right now. Admittedly, my logic centre hasn't been working right since I died (no, I know I'm alive now). A while ago, I asked you if you had a preference for colours in your wall paint, and you explained how you had been born totally blind, and had no concept of colour. However, I've played pac man and asteroids and such before, and can't think of any non-visual methods of winning such games. Although sometimes on Asteroids, I've been luckily successful by sitting in one spot spinning in a circle rapid-firing in every direction until I achieved victory, but that only ever worked at fairly low levels. Would you mind clarifying this concept for me a bit?

sure. when i play pac man, the purpose of the game is to move successfully around a maze without being eaten by ghosts. i learned through habitual playing that if i moved in certain directions, i could skip to the next 3 levels without losing a life. the same is true for space invaders. that game was pretty easy to play since it involved moving grounded bullets into the air towards moving space invaders in the sky. i developed alot of skill with this game by rapidly firing bullets while quickly rotating my "ship" (for lack of a better word) from side to side. the same is true for defender. after awhile of playing the game, it was easy to manipulate the controls and get a feel for the game in order to know when i should fire my targets.
Thanks! I think that makes some sense to me, although I think I'd actually have to be blind to understand how that could be fun more than once
video games (the older ones from the 70s and 80s) are a blast when you can't see! i especially used to love hearing the sound effects.
Maybe thats why i stink at video games... I have only tried the newer ones.
in my opinion, the older video games were more blind friendly because they weren't as complicated as today's games are. when i try to play any of today's video games, i suck big time.
So do i, i played against someone on wii sports, and i couldn't understand what i was supposed to do, because i couldn't see.
