Man won't submit to security, TSA won't let him fly. Who's right?

There is no right to fly. You can fly but if you CHOOSE to do so you also CHOOSE to comply with the regulations that come with it. Simple really.

flawed logic. we are innocent until proven guilty.

the equivalent is - the police will randomly stop anybody on street, do a pat-down, ask some questions, and look into their bags. and if we refuse to comply - we may be subjected to arrest, civil lawsuit, and/or fines. :ugh:

I don't believe in implementing metal detector or police dogs or armed security at public schools. it's wrong.

Rights? That's silly. They also do pat downs at many nightclubs now as well as many sporting events. That's part of the price of admission. Nobody is forced to go. *shrug*

will they be subjected to a civil suit and a $10,000 fine if we do not want to go thru security screening and leave?

We had all 3 at my high school. Only bothers the people who are doing wrong. Never bothered me.

Never had those at my high school. Only because it would have bothered the hell out of us. :lol:

I think that part was made up......the story has many flaws in it actually and the guy seems to have had an agenda going in. First of all everyone goes through the metal detector first..... then some are selected for the scan.
 
He wouldn't have been arrested signing to a friend, "Hi, Jack!" :lol:

Every time Hubby drives his van onto the Air Force Base, he has to slowly drive it thru the huge machine that xrays all the large vehicles. He is sitting in it the whole time.

More rads. Maybe we should all start wearing dosimeter badges to monitor our exposure. :hmm:

The aircraft pilot and crew unions have protested the backscatter for their members because of the accumulated hazard.
 
I heard a woman being interviewed on the radio tonight. She was 70 years, from Charleston, and had flown overseas at the beginning of October, before the new rules came into effect. On her return trip, she changed planes in Atlanta. The TSA employee said that the woman needed to be patted down. The old lady agreed to it because she was expecting the old way, back of the hand, no groin area contact. She was shocked when she felt herself being groped!

How many of you feel safer about flying knowing that the old lady got groped?
 
What about women and girls being groped when they are having their periods? Will they have to prove that it's just a tampon or pad?
 
Better to hire and train on behavior profiling just like what they do at the Ben Gurion airport in Israel successfully for years. And some of ya'll squealed and complained about behavior profiling thinking it's the same as plain ol profiling which it's not. And now we have the the TSA touching people's junk. Just wait til after Thanksgiving and watch the number of travelers just drop. I'm sure the airline will not like seeing low number of travelers.
 
How many of you want the breasts and vaginal areas of your young daughters exposed or touched by strangers just so they can fly to grandma's house?
