Man won't submit to security, TSA won't let him fly. Who's right?

Ok, let's suppose we switch to military, what measures can military do to ensure safety?

Israeli style. as posted in my link.

do their damnest to prevent foreign terrorists from getting on flights bounded for America. Focus on international flights, not domestic flights.

and ignore the angry computer scientist who has a grudge against the IRS and holds a private pilots' license? I know what you're saying Jiro and I do agree...but domestic flights still have considerable vulnerabilities

...crap...my argument can be blown up if you're thinking what I'm thinking.

I am flying 10 times between now and January 2. Hope I don't get groped each time....I might get a reputation.

TXgolfer, make them at least buy you dinner. lol

Agreed, it would be pricey due to cost of operation. A good trade-off for security?

that would prevent 9/11 effectively. Pat-Down, Groping, Peek-A-Boo, etc. won't work for 9/11 terrorists.

yes. the domestic terrorists. again - never happened. Many domestic terrorists drove.

and... that "angry" person with serious grudge.. He used Cessna. It was in news last year or so. I think that happened in Texas. He flew it into IRS building which was hardly an "omfgwtf" moment.

It's like throwing a tin can at building, *thud*, small crack on window.

My last fly was in 2005 but only had simple pat down, that all so no one touches my junk.

My last fly that checked under private security in summer 2001, just few months before 9/11 and no pat down involved so just use device that check my body because metal detector went beep due have CI in my head but much faster than TSA does.

an hour worth of interview, cost of room to use, electricity, tapes, administrative costs, etc...

better than the aftermath. Look at how much we spent for WTC/Pentagon mess, Iraq/Afghanistan War, stock market "crash"...

this "Israeli-style" security screening is a penny compared to what we're paying for aftermath. Prevention is always cheaper than the aftermath.

AGREED! Lets give this suggestion to TSA... =) I'm sure they will turn down in fear that Airlines will lose their business.

I believe the airports would support it. They're already having hundreds of angry backlash from customers. They're being forced to bend over and get "Advanced Imaging Technology" that they don't want. This would mean less air travels too.

Looking at San Fransisco which used private security... it was cost-effective and it yielded a much better result than TSA which missed over 60% or more in detecting simulated bomb parts. SF missed 20%. It's most likely that more and more major airports will dump TSA for private security.

TSA needs to get their acts together.
