Can you please post the source where they shoot bears and wolves for meats (food) because I only know that they shoot mooses for meats? Accord the article, that they shoot bears and wolves for pleasure and for their skins. If you disagree with those links then free to prove me that they shoot bears and wolves for the meats.

I have no problem with hunting for the foods.

Um, I don't see where it says "they shoot bears and wolves for their own pleasure"...Please show me where in the article that stated that.

Well, it is easier to hunt on the plane than on foot. More faster. On foot or on plane... same thing to hunt, no difference.

Ugh, that's horrible brutal practice, no animal deserves this and I thought "real" hunters hunt on foot not plane.

Sigh, cruelty to animals happens every day...
the real cruelty is letting predator population going out of control and letting prey population to go extinct.... no more cutey squirrels or Bambi in your backyard. the real cruelty is the assholes at slaughterhouse or farm treating animals like crap.

Yes, I think these people who hunt from the air are cowards to go on foot to hunt.
huh? So you want to see moose, rabbits, etc. to go extinct due to overpopulation of predators? I think you should be targeting your anger toward to illegal poachers, not wildlife control people.

You got a point there but the real reason why I am angry is because I am reading some stories that baby animals are being killed. That is not making me happy.

That's the worst part.

It's why they had to shoot the wolves in order to control its population to save elks, mooses, rabbits, mountain goats, etc., etc. -- otherwise, the hunters will not be able to feed the family or sell the wild game meats to the stores for people to buy and so forth. That's their butter and bread livin'.

Hey, I like squirrels and bambi in my backyard that why I brought a house in the woods but we have a higher deer populations in our hometown, I still disapprove "the killing" of these deers.

me either :( but then.... if they're hunting animals... which mean their mothers are going to get killed... which means their offspring will die slowly in the wild..... so i guess it's more humane to kill baby animals as well..... :(

Hey, I like squirrels and bambi in my backyard that why I brought a house in the woods.

Then, try to understand why they had to shoot wolves, so you can have squirrels/bambi in your backyard. :)

:laugh2: don't we all? almost everyday when I eat breakfast, a squirrel climb up to my kitchen window sill to eat some acorns. I was amazed that squirrel can climb a flat brick wall and I lived at 2nd floor at that time :-o

Then, try to understand why they had to shoot wolves, so you can have squirrels/bambi in your backyard. :)

Wolves have to eat too ya know not just humans.

Of course. Did you read the link I just provided for ya ? I hope that you understand their reason for huntin'. :)

si indeed. at least there will be enough prey population for predators to eat and still some squirrels and bambi left for us to look at and take pictures :cool2: too many predators.... not good.

Yes, thanks for the link...(Sorry, was trying to catch up with the posts)..

It's normal for Indians to kill bears and wolves to make their own boots to keep their feet warm and also for coverin' their heads. It's nothin' wrong. Americans that live in Alaska learned Indians' way of how to make things for their future survival. If, anythin' should happen to Alaska, the Americans will know what to do by learnin' through Indians' way, because Alaska is very, very tough place to live. It's not like here or your country. Alaska can kill you, if you don't know how to survive by Indians' way. You could die easy by starvation, or brutal " cold " in winter. I got some terrible red " scar " on my thighs when I walked in very brutal winter... boy, it ain't that pretty, but that's how Alaska is. I am glad my thighs are healed after I moved down here in Florida. I already experienced through Alaska myself - both winter and food. It ain't that easy, girl. It's why they hunt animals for some good reasons, be it for food or clothings or both.

Sometimes, they have to shoot wolves in order to save deers, mooses, and such, because of its low numbers of deers, mooses, polar bears and etc. Wolves are growin' fast and they are predators for deers, mooses and such. It's another reason why they had to shoot wolves. There are soo many things you don't know about Alaska. All you have to do is experiencin' Alaska yourself by livin' there. You will understand why. :)

Yes, I know Native American/Indian history but Alaskans see different as you. All what I see from our links that the issue is about trophy and sport hunting. I only see that many Alaskans vote against it twice. It´s Alaskan´s link/websites. I search the link to match your post but I find none... Can you please help to find the link for me to read because I´m interesting. ?

Aerial Hunting: Wings of Death

I post the original pictures of Alaskan protestors from Alaska´s website at 2 or 3 pages of this thread. Have you see it?

I understand why because of the overpopulated of wolves in Alaska but why wouldn't the biologists send them off to a zoo or be adopted since there are many places around the country that would have take them.

I'm sorry but there's just no sense of killing those poor little wolf pups.. :(

First of all, Welcome Back Angel,

Yes, I second that. It´s not just wolf pups but bear cubs as well.

Um, I don't see where it says "they shoot bears and wolves for their own pleasure"...Please show me where in the article that stated that.

What I said is my POV because they killed animals for trophy and sport hunting.

This year thousands of Alaskan bears and wolves will be shot for pleasure in Alaska

Unfortunlately yes, I see the same thing as you both as well.

sigh...... Oh well.... Maria, I guess it's pretty much hopeless to headbutt with animal rights activists. Who said it was for pleasure? It's called animal culling and what do you propose about these dead animals? Throw it into garbage? At least we recycled it in a way.... we take the skin and eat the meat or let the scavengers eat it. It's nature way - nothing is wasted.

See the link, I posted at #177.

Again, I have no problem to hunt animals for the meat but pleasure... They don´t kill wolves, pups and bears, cubs for the meat but their skins. (check my Alaska´s website "Truth about Sarah"

:tears: baby animals...

I have plenty squirrels, wild ferrets.... eagles around where I live... I live near forest... deer, foxes, boars, hares... The hunters do not use plane to kill them but hunt them with their own foot... The Hunter Club is only 5 minutes walk from my house... I often see fresh dead hares, boars and deers...

Kill animal for the foods by foot is a real hunter, not plane.
