JClarke's next trip

Isn't Jakes excellent adventure over?

what kind of lifesytle compared with NYC?

completely opposite. NYC lifestyle is metro-type. Seattle lifestyle is my kinda type - half city, half mountain. The food is vastly different. Women there is nice.

the major drawback is.... Seattle sleeps at night

Heh... sounds like Vic. Vancouver, BC might be your thing if you're into the big city kind of thing.

so what? Well I don't care about your like but I'm stating my opinion. I don't like it when the city sleeps at nite.

I think that you better take trip next year. I know you wish it this year but save money for travel expense.

That's right, Jiro. yes, it is very quiet at night time...not a 24/7 city like Las Vegas or NYC. Like I said earlier in the post, it is a laid back city.

Seattle, RIT plus Niagara Falls, Boston, Philadelphia, Austin, Dallas Miami, Orlando, Las Vegas.

Mind you - since you're doing it in summer, it'll be more expensive.

Good list.....I mite drop Dallas and add Chicago. Dallas really has little except for the JFK site and Blondes. And the summer is pretty miserable here.

Chicago is miserable in summers too. geez 95 with 100% humidity. But a LOT to do there...

Chicago is warm and humid but usually no more than high 80's. Plus it cools off at night. And there is a breeze in the city. I would think it is about the same as New York in the summer. It never cools off in Dallas. High 70'-low 80's are the lows and that is with high humidity.

I know I have been to alot of day baseball in July in Chicago....no biggie....You can't pay me enough to go to night baseball in July here in DFW and we don't have day baseball here in the summer. No one would show up.

San Antonio and Austin are just 30-45 (depends on how the traffic bad on interstate highway) minutes apart by drive, plenty of sightseeing, museums, and deafies.

I may plan to go Portland to see my sister. I never seen her new penthouse condo downtown this year or next year. Also visit Seattle and take ferry to Victoria Canada or drive to Vancouver. I hope to meet some ADers in all of these cities.

Sound good. Avoid summer time because reason of hot and high humidity. better be spring or fall.

wow very long vacation eh? Your job approve that? Just curious....so when are you thinking to come back?

I will get some suggestions later so you can think/figure out what you want todo for 4-6 weeks along. :)
