Indecent Exposure: Naked at Home?

I'm at work right now and I am completly NAKED under my clothes.

Nudity is nudity. Everybody know what they look like under the clothes.

Who cares? I don't. Apparently some people do.
Yes, some people (especially parents) do care, and they should be respected.

If people want to be naked in their homes that's fine. Keep it inside the home, not visible to passers-by.

Why do naked people want other people to see their bodies?

Are you aware that it's perfectly legal to be topless in public across the province of Ontario? Besides, I doubt most people do it to attract attention.

They should know better to not peep into someone's windows. Especially parents.

The only reason why it made the news is because the guy was naked.

That proves that there are goofy laws every where.

Besides, I doubt most people do it to attract attention.
Of course not.

If they aren't doing it for attention then why do they leave the curtains open? If they aren't doing it for attention they would be satisfied to be naked with the curtains closed. Obviously it's the exhibitionist aspect that they relish.

They aren't peeping. The exhibitionists are in clear sight from the public sidewalks and roads. Do you expect people to walk down public ways with blinders on?

Um, yeah, that was the point of the story.

Goofy would be Saskatchewan... where it's legal for a woman to be topless anywhere, yet illegal for a man to expose himself to the public. Oi... Sexist lawmakers, ain't they?

Oh, I'm sure they had post-its on their mirrors reminding them to keep the curtains open. Definitely.

Exactly my point. That's all there is to it.

What if the guy didnt think about closing his curtains? Sometimes, I run downstairs to grab a towel naked and I dont think about my windows being open or not at the moment.

If someone was dancing naked in front of a window without shutters, then the intent would be obvious but in this case I think it was an accident.

but that it was 5:30 in the morning tells me 2 things:

First, the man was just waking up; second, because he was just waking up, he wouldn't have the presence of mind to think to close the curtains.

The parent and the child weren't in a public way! There were cutting through his yard on his property. Why doesn't anyone think to prosecute them for trespassing?

That's exactly the way I see it: a guy who just went downstairs at 5:30 in the morning for his cup of joe.

well... to me, i would blame on that lady .. she might reports on him.. even she might be in his own place... mmmm i thought police should figure out before they go arrest him.. werid thing happen.. rme! oh boy..america still plm and this is not Houston we have a plm.. that is no no.. oh well

Not if the person can be seen from public or neighbor's property.

Depends on his definition of "peeping." I know my family raised me not to look in the general direction of buildings because we are not to interfere with people's privacy.

Why are they even looking at the guy's window to begin with anyway?

Why didn't he close his curtains the night before he went to bed? We close our window coverings at sunset.

In this situation, you are right, they shouldn't have been on his property.

???

"A peeping Tom a person who stealthily peeks into windows, other openings with the purpose of getting a sexual thrill from seeing women or girls undressed or couples making love. It is a slang term for a voyeur. Being a peeping tom is treated as a crime based on sexual deviancy, according to state laws, which vary by state. The victim of a peeping Tom can bring a lawsuit for invasion of privacy."

They shouldn't have been on the guy's property.

They probably looked towards the window because eyes are normally drawn to a lighted area that is within a darker area.

That is exactly what I was taught also. I don't understand at all why anybody outside would look through the window.

It is rude.

All I can say is that there are a LOT of people, maybe 90% of Americans, that I never want to see nude. What are the odds that a 20-something female in good shape will stand at the window, nude, right when I happen to walk by?

Same here. I feel guilty if I look into someone's windows.

but there's no rule or law saying that he has to close curtain before he sleeps.

Walking thru a neighborhood, looking at the gardens and nice houses, while staying aware of one's surroundings, is not the same as peering into private windows.

When we sit on our front porch in our rocking chairs, we greet and chat to our neighbors as they walk by. We don't expect to see any of them walking down the street with eyes straight ahead like military marchers. People walk by glancing around so they can say "hi" to their neighbors. We greet the mailman, meter reader, UPS and FEDEX deliverers, and anyone passing by.

It's normal to look around in a friendly way. As neighbors, we also look out for each other. It's not like strangers staring into windows.
