Indecent Exposure: Naked at Home?

Here's another thought:

Perhaps men would be afraid to report a naked woman in her house because they don't want to be accused of "peeping."

As a guy that sleeps in the buff and likes to walk around his house the same way, i dont feel this is right.

If he'd wanted to expose himself, why not pick the afternoon when most kids would be waking home instead of 5:30 in the morning!

Maybe for others. I have seen one or two naked women that left the curtains open when i lived in DC.

I haven't read or heard about women being arrested but guys.

YES! My friends didn't care.
That's disgusting. If someone sees that they should report them.

They don't need to be arrested but they should be sternly warned by the police. Then, if they ignore the warning, they should risk eviction and arrest.

Oh good grief! Seriously, with the prisons being strapped for cash and not to mention overpopulated, don't you think it's kind of far-fetched to arrest people for being in the buff?

In some countries, it's not illegal to be in the buff. In fact, there are nudist beaches in some places across Canada, including one in Toronto. It's just ironic that one can be nude at a beach but not in its own home with the windows open.

Please. Nobody is going to be harmed by seeing a man in the buff. Seriously, what's the worst a person can inflict upon the society by being in the buff?

I think people are overreacting. People have the right to be "disgusted" when they see someone in the buff, but they shouldn't have the right to tell people what they can and cannot do in their own homes. Even if the windows are open, just don't look.

And they were walking across his lawn, and they were the ones looking in his window.

Maybe she should be charged as a "peeping Tom"! :cool2:

Seriously I don't think this guy did this on purpose. He was careless with his curtains and everyone was at the wrong place at the wrong time.

Being arrested and serving a long prison sentence are two totally seperate issues. Arrest doesn't always result in a prison sentence.

People who go to nude beaches go there with an expectation of experiencing nudity. People who walk thru residential communities taking their kids to school don't expect to have their kids exposed to nude adults.

How do you know? Do you know the exhibitionist's motive or possible plan? Do you know the sensitivity of children? Even here at AD there are adults who are sensitive to "triggers."

Seriously, what's the worst a person can inflict upon the society by being in the buff?
Seriously, why are people compelled to expose themselves to other people?

There's nothing wrong with "being" in the buff. The problem is exposing the experience to members of the public who don't wish to share in that experience.

What, people are supposed to walk around with their eyes closed? Passers-by can see what's happening in a lit room on a darkened street without actually peering into the window. Get real.

Neighbors walk by my house every day and look at the flowers, butterflies, and fountain in my front yard. I know they can also see my windows when they do that. So can the mailman, the newspaper deliverer, the kids waiting for the bus across the street, the garbage men, the recycling crew, the lawn debris pick up guys, etc. When the sun begins to set, I close the window shutters. How hard is that?

I agree with Reba somewhat....Even I had a problem with my neighbor. His bathroom window faced the side of my house, and several times when I would take my dog outside for her business, he would have the window "open" and sitting there doing his business......I guess it was just to let the smell out, I really dunno! After the 3rd time, I did complain to the Landlord......And she did something about it.

I've also seen this when I lived in an apt, complex, the bathroom window faced the street, and the guy thought it was "funny" to sit there on the toilet and wave to people outside in the parking lot!

It's ur home, I agree. But if ur gonna walk around in the nude, then close the blinds/curtains. It's also an invitation to get "raped" if ur a female.....

Some people don't realize that even with blinds or curtains, you still can see the "shadow".

sigh..... I miss the good ole' fashioned America back in 80's

yeah that sucks.
I tend to leave the windows/curtains open while I wore bra and undie walking around in my apartment because AC wasn't working good in DC. It was toooo hot! yet, my hubby complained about me, and i told him that my undies are almost same as bathing suit. :giggle:

:wag:

That woman decided to sue that guy just to smell the MONEY....I wouldn't be surprised. Why can't they just say oops didn't mean to and just move on.

This reads like a bad law school exam question. :giggle:

It doesn't say whether the woman is pursing civil suit. It'll be interesting to see whether she files a civil case. :hmm:

Where did you read that she was suing the guy? It wasn't in the news story.

:giggle:
Well, I dont do it anymore where I live right now in a snobbish town. I have to look good as a parent. I had to wear my robe from now on. But I have good AC which is working. :eek3:

*praying your AC will be broken* :naughty:

Nudity is nudity. Everybody know what they look like under the clothes.

Who cares? I don't. Apparently some people do.

:giggle: I like your attitude. I agree. If i see someone else who is naked in their own house. I would not stare at them for a long period and simply ignore them. It's their home, not mine.
